14 AIP SUPPLEMENTS EFFECTIVE WITHIN THE NEW ZEALAND FIR (NZZC) 19/ NZZC Palmerston North AD RWY 25 Instrument Approach Visual Segment Surface Effective: 4 FEB 16 AIPNZ NZPM AD VOR/DME RWY 25 and NZPM AD RNAV (GNSS) RWY 25 refers. RWY 25 Visual Segment Surface is penetrated by trees right of the extended centreline 568 m from threshold, maximum height 211 ft AMSL. It is expected this penetration will be removed. Further NOTAM/SUP will be issued. 47/ NZZC Auckland ASB Bank Centre Heliport Temporary Closure Effective: 31 MAR 16 Due to building works the ASB Bank Centre Heliport (NZBC) is closed for all operations until further notice. Physical street address: 135 Albert Street, CBD, Auckland. 50/ NZZC Greymouth AD RNAV (GNSS) RWY 01 Visual Segment Surface Effective: 31 MAR 16 The following obstacles penetrate the Visual Segment Surface (VSS) for the RNAV (GNSS) RWY 01 instrument approach: O Terrain right of extended centre-line, between 860 m and 5430 m from RWY threshold. Maximum elevation 395 ft AMSL. WARNING: Due to high terrain in the visual segment surface SE of AD, when visual do not deviate east of the final approach track. 14

15 50/ NZZC Paraparaumu AD Instrument Departures Close-in Obstacles Effective: 27 APR 17 The following close-in obstacles are not considered in the climb gradient for Paraparaumu AD Instrument Departures. RWY 34: O A tree right of the extended centre-line, 50 m from CWY end. Maximum elevation 60 ft AMSL. O Trees left of extended centre-line, between m from CWY end. Maximum elevation 70 ft AMSL. The obstacles above are expected to be removed and SUP will be withdrawn. 69/ NZZC Auckland Changed ATC Call Sign Effective: 22 JUN 17 Following amendments to Advisory Circular 91-9 and (Radiotelephony Manual), ATC call sign Auckland Control for approach control service on frequencies MHz, MHz, MHz and MHz is now Auckland Approach. RWY 03: O Trees left and right of extended centre-line, between 250 m and 630 m from RWY threshold. Maximum elevation 270 ft AMSL. In the event of a weather cancellation on SAT 23 FEB or SUN 24 FEB 19, the aerodrome will revert to normal operation. Any changes to these arrangements will be advised by NOTAM. Arrivals Aircraft arriving on THU 21, FRI 22, SAT 23 and SUN 24 FEB 19 should exercise special care, as there will be frequent arrivals and departures and low-level aerobatics practised by vintage, military, model and unmanned aircraft during daylight hours. Pilots should listen to the AWIB frequency MHz and report position on frequency MHz at either 10 NM inbound on arrival or when taxiing prior to departure for entry approval into NZR590. Standard circuit procedures must be observed by radio-equipped and NORDO aircraft. Services The following services will be provided between: 0830 and 1730, FRI 22 FEB 19 NZDT; 0830 and 2230, SAT 23 FEB 19 NZDT; and 0830 and 1700, SUN 24 FEB 19 NZDT. 1. A base radio call sign Masterton Radio (frequency MHz); and 2. An AWIB (Aerodrome and Weather Information Broadcast), on frequency MHz, activated by four transmissions within four seconds; and 3. 36 Fuel management Pilots should plan for extra fuel reserves, as there could be short delays. Access to the fuel pumps will be available, except on SAT 23 and SUN 24 FEB 19. Avgas and Jet A1 tanker service will be available during this time. Pilot briefings There will be display briefings for event participants at 1100 on FRI 22, 1200 on SAT 23, and 0900 SUN 24 FEB 19 NZDT at the Sports and Vintage Aviation Society main hangar. For flight crews participating in the Saturday evening flying displays there will be an additional display briefing at 1700 SAT 23 FEB 19 NZDT. Pilots wishing to practise on THU 21 and FRI 22 FEB 19 should contact the display direction caravan or phone Merv Falconer on Security Pilots should note that an additional airfield security fence will be in place from MON 18 FEB to MON 25 FEB 19 and will extend from the Wairarapa Aero Club, parallel to grass runway 10/28 to the runway intersection, then northwards parallel to runway 06/24 to the aerodrome boundary fence. The fence will be at least 70 metres clear of the sealed and grass runways. Additional lighting will be available to light the security fence and it will be marked for night operations.
