1 AUSTRALIA AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION SERVICE AIRSERVICES AUSTRALIA GPO BOX 367, CANBERRA ACT 2601 Phone: Effective: AIP SUPPLEMENT (SUP) H 25/ UTC AUSTRALIAN FORMULA ONE GRAND PRIX, ALBERT PARK, MARCH INTRODUCTION 1.1 This SUP cancels and replaces SUP H23/18, with changes in 3.1(b) 1.2 The 2018 Australian Formula One Grand Prix will be held at Albert Park, Victoria, from Thursday 22 March until Sunday 25 March To cater for the high density of helicopter operations in and around the Albert Park area and to segregate air displays by the RAAF, two Temporary Restricted Areas (TRA), abbreviated names: Track UNICOM and Air Display, will be declared and air traffic services and helicopter procedures defined. 1.4 Professional Helicopter Services has been contracted by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) to make arrangements for the conduct of aviation activity associated with the event. 2. GENERAL 2.1 All helicopter operations into and out of Albert Park Helicopter Landing Site (HLS) in support of the event are subject to specific requirements and prior approval by AGPC. This may be obtained through: Professional Helicopter Services (PHS) CTC PH: Mobile: operations@phs.com.au 2.2 Helicopter operations to the helipad will be coordinated by PHS and full details regarding their operations are available from PHS.

2 Page 2 of All aircraft operating in Restricted Area R990 Albert Park Track must register with PHS to obtain briefing material on acceptable routes and emergency procedures. 2.4 All flights in Restricted Area R990 Albert Park Track must listen out on frequency MHz and broadcast in accordance with those required at a non-controlled aerodrome. 2.5 No Air Traffic Services are provided in Restricted Area R990 Albert Park Track. UNICOM operating on MHz. Separation is the responsibility of all pilots. Track UNICOM operated by PHS will provide limited flight information (per AIP GEN 3.3, para 2) when able. 2.6 Class G Air Traffic Services will be provided in Restricted Area R992 Air Display. Access is restricted to air display aircraft and other aircraft approved by the Controlling Authority. 3. AIRSPACE ARRANGEMENTS 3.1 The following Temporary Restricted Areas (TRA) are declared from Thursday 22 March until Sunday 25 March 2018 and the dimensions are depicted in Appendix 1 and 2: a) R990 Albert Park Track (Abbreviated name: Track UNICOM ) LATERAL LIMITS: Intersection of Beaconsfield Parade and Pickles Street (adjacent SNP) then S E then via the southern boundary of the Yarra Broadcast Area and then via the Yarra river to Williams Road/Hotham Street, then south to Glenhuntly Road, then west to the coast (adjacent PTOM) then north along the coast to the intersection of Beaconsfield Parade and Pickles Street. Activation: Vertical Limits: NOTAM (approx daily 1900 to 0600 UTC) SFC FT AMSL Controlling Authority: AGPC via Professional Helicopter Services Mob Unicom: MHz

3 Page 3 of 3 b) R992 Air Display (Abbreviated name: Air Display ) LATERAL LIMITS: S E, S E, S E, S E then along the clockwise arc of a circle of 5.00NM radius centred on S E to S E. Activation: Vertical Limits: NOTAM SFC Base of CTA Controlling Authority: Melbourne Centre (ML CEN MHz) Note: Activation times are anticipated, but may vary. Variations will be notified by MELBOURNE FIR (YMMM) NOTAM. Yarra Broadcast Area 3.2 Helicopters are permitted to operate into heliports on the Yarra River, provided they are radio equipped and comply with broadcast procedures on the Yarra Broadcast Area frequency MHz. This approval is subject to activation of R992 Air Display during military displays as notified in paragraph HEADING 4.1 During air display activity, TRA R992 Air Display will be active and the airspace closed for short periods to aircraft not participating in air display activity. 4.2 Notification of the status of the airspace will be broadcast on Track UNICOM ( MHz), and Yarra Broadcast Area (132.1 MHz). 5.
