5 A timeline just for you 1986 We take off 1991 Our Chairman, Juan José Hidalgo, acquires the Company in partnership with a group of investors A new beginning. We start operating domestic flights between Madrid and Barcelona.
6 1995 We launch our European routes: the first European flight between Madrid and London Crossing the Atlantic: the first long-haul flight between Madrid and New York Globalia Corporación is set up at the initiative of our Chairman, forming a holding company for all his businesses We acquire the first Boeing for our fleet Our fleet of 40 aircraft ranks amongst the most modern in Europe, with an average aircraft age of 3 years. Whilst our Economy Class now offers new menus made with fresher and more natural ingredients, together with more eco-friendly packaging, passengers flying Business Class will enjoy the exclusive menus created by Chef Martín Berasategui. There, base maintenance checks are carried out, together with online maintenance, all types of modifcations, END inspections, structural and part repairs, weight and balance checks a work area of 6,200 m² for your safety.
