1 Bishop International Airport Janitorial/Skycap RFP Addendum #1 (October 15, 2018) RFP Questions/Responses: 1) How often does the concrete area behind the Baggage carousel have to be cleaned? Response: This area is not part of the RFP and is not to be considered by potential bidders. 2) Police Area, M-F or 7 days a week? Response: Refer to Attachment A, Section 2: Work Schedule, Authority Offices b and c. Yes, 7 days per week. 3) How much floor space has to be burnished? Response: Approximately 15,000 square feet. 4) Who pays for broken soap and/or medical waste boxes? Response: Bishop Airport maintenance staff will replace these items when needed. 5) I see carpet shampoo is once a month, what about other surfaces, how often? Response: Refer to Janitorial Specifications, Attachment A all surfaces to be cleaned at least on a daily basis. 6) What percentage of carpet is considered public Space as opposed to office space? Response: Public space carpet approximately 94% of all carpet area, BIAA office carpet area is approximately 6%. 7) The RFP says there is approximately 242,000, but 190,000 public use space and 30,000 curbside space only equals 220,000. What is actual cleanable square footage? Response: 220,000 square feet of cleanable space. 8) As far as carpet, so you know what the percentages are, roughly, between office space and public space? Response: Refer to question #6 above. 9) Is curbside area considered what is outside of the terminal on northside of building? Response: Yes, curbside is the area north of and adjacent to the terminal building. To include sidewalk, curbs, crosswalks, etc. 10) Will we need to provide our own snowblowers or will we be allowed to use the airports? Response: Yes, the contractor will be responsible to provide their own snowblowers. BIAA will provide shovels and walk-behind salt spreader. 11) Will CAD drawings of the building be available? CADD drawings can be provided to the successful bidder.

2 12) What walkways outside are we responsible for? Is there a map? Response: Refer to the attached Exhibit 1 for details. 13) What are specific requirements for background checks and drug screening bishop international airport requires? Response: The Bishop International Airport s website ( has the security requirements needed to secure an airport access badge. Drug-screenings are conducted by the contractor as part of their hiring process. 14) For SkyCap services, will we need to provide luggage carriers? Response: Yes, refer to Attachment B, Skycap Specifications, Conditions, #5. 15) Can you please clarify whether or not we bill separately for consumable products? The original answer to that question seemed to be yes that it was separate and then the incumbent stated that it was added to the annual cost. Response: Consumables will be billed as part of the annual costs. The Bid Form requires that consumable costs be allocated separately for each year as part of the bidding process. 16) Is there a designated bathroom attendant that is part of the bid for the airport on a daily basis? Is there any other porter service that the airport is requesting, besides bathroom or is the expectation that the staff on sight handles things that come up during a given day, and set up and breakdowns can be billed separately? Response: Designated bathroom attendant(s) are not being specified for this RFP. The contractor is welcome to propose such service in their bids, however. The Airport s expectations is that the successful bidder will provide janitorial/cleaning support to include 24-hour coverage, 365 days per year. Staffing and scheduling will be developed by the successful bidder and coordinated with the Airport to ensure the Airport s business needs are being met. Special Services such as table set-ups/breakdowns, etc. will be billed separately if on-site staffing cannot meet the request and billed per the labor rate established on the Bid Form for Special Services. 17) Can you supply the name of the current vendor and their cost breaking down each service discipline and consumable cost? Response: The current vendor is Greater Flint Janitorial Services, Inc. Refer to the attached Exhibit 2 for details regarding bid results from previous solicitation. 18) Can you supply the manufacturer name and sizes of each specific consumable product used on this project? I.e. hand soap, sanitizer, paper product and plastic Response: Refer to the attached Exhibit 3 for details. 19) Can you supply a list of the current vendors equipment the Airport deems necessary to perform service? Response: Refer to attached Exhibit 3 for details. The list includes equipment the current provider uses for servicing the Airport contract. 20) Can you elaborate on trash removal and policing? Nbr of trash can and sizes inside and outside. Response: Trash removal specification is included in the Janitorial Specifications in Section 4,

3 Trash Removal. Policing specifications are listed in Janitorial Specifications, Section 4 Policing Terminal Interior and Policing Terminal Exterior. Refer to attached Exhibit 4 for details on the number and types of trashcans located at Bishop Airport. 21) What is the SF of the parking lot? Response: Contractor will be responsible for servicing/cleaning the trashcans located in the following Airport s parking lots: Cell Phone Lot, Car Rental Ready Lot, and servicing/cleaning all trashcans located along the curbside sidewalks. Approximate square footage of the parking lots: Cell Phone Lot & Employee Lot: 81,000 sf, Rental Car Lots 120,000 sf. 22) Do you have a project cleaning schedule? Response: Refer to Attachment A Janitorial Specifications, Section A(2) Work Schedule, on page A-3 for details. ###

7 BISHOP INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL / SKYCAP SERVICES GREATER FLINT JANITORIAL SERVICES This Contract amendment, made this day of, 2015, is an amendment to the Contract for Janitorial / Skycap Services, dated October 24, 2012, between the Bishop International Airport Authority, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Michigan, having its offices at Bishop International Airport, G-3425 W. Bristol Rd., Flint, Michigan (hereinafter the Αuthority), and Greater Flint Janitorial Services, with its offices at G-5161 E. Court St., Burton, Michigan 48507, (hereinafter, the Contractor). WITNESSETH WHEREAS, the Authority is the operator of Bishop International Airport (hereinafter Airport) located in the City of Flint, County of Genesee, State of Michigan; and WHEREAS, the Contractor represents that it is qualified to engage in the business of providing janitorial and skycap services; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 4 Section 2 of the Contract dated the 24 th day of October, 2015 the Authority has the right to extend the Contract for one three-year term; and WHEREAS, the Authority desires to modify and extend its Contract for Janitorial and Skycap Services; and WHEREAS, the Authority deems the amendment and extension to be in the best interest to itself, the Contractor, the public and the efficient operation of the Airport. NOW THEREFORE, inconsideration of the respective rights, benefits, duties, obligation, covenants and conditions herein, the parties agree to as follows: Amendment to Article 4: (Section 1.) The term of the agreement will be extended for three (3) years to expire October 31, Amendment to Article 4: (Section 2.) The provision to extend for an additional three (3) year period has been removed. Amendment to Article 5: Payment for all services rendered shall be as follows:
