Net Section Restricted Max. Load per Net Section (kg) In case more than one part is missing or unserviceable, any load in the respective net sections must be secured individually or the net sections have to be kept empty Distance to the Ceiling LH A319 General Procedure Blow-out panels are installed in the ceiling which will be released in case of pressure differences between cabin and the lower deck holds. Always observe a minimum distance of 5 cm between hold ceiling and top of load. To ensure above, the loading height must not exceed 119cm Protective Panels LH A319 Procedure During loading / offloading of compartment 1 make sure that the protective panels (located on the right wall next to the door) are not damaged. Lashing of Packages Observe that it is strictly forbidden to use the panel fixings for the lashing of packages. Only the tie-down fittings on the compartment floor may be used for lashing.

43 Ground Operations Manual Page Tail Tipping LH A319 Attention Risk of tail tipping because of the large aft hold, compared to a small forward hold. In order to check if the aircraft is in danger of tail tipping the following procedure must be observed: The MAC diagram on the manual loadsheet shows a ground handling margin for planning purposes. Make sure that the point of intersection between the actual zero fuel weight and the loaded index at zero fuel weight is always within the allowed limits. Compartment 1 should always be loaded first and unloaded last.
