3 DETAILED ITINERARY ADDIS ABABA Day 1 - Arrive in Addis Ababa. Transfer to Saro-Maria Hotel, an attractive four star hotel in the center of Addis. Accommodation Saro-Maria Hotel Included Activities: Transfer to hotel and rest

4 AWASSA Day 2 - Morning walk in the park and drive to Awassa known for its holiday resort and lakes, full of various species of birds. Accommodation Haile resort Included Activities: Visit park and lake Awassa Travel Distance : 175kms ARBAMINCH Day 3 We drive through one of the most colorful and scenic areas of Southern Ethiopia, a land that is inhabited by the people of the Sidamo, the Alaba, who were once nomads but are now farmers. A long section of the road offers magnificent views of Lake Abaya, surrounded by mountains. The lake has volcanic origins and is almost pink in color. Today we visit the Dorze village, one of the many small group of tribes in southern Ethiopia. Once warriors, the Dorze are now turned to farming and weaving to earn a living. 5 KONSO-DIMEKA MARKET Day 4 - Drive to Turmi en route meet the people of Konso and their villages. The cornerstone of Konso culture is a highly specialized and successful agricultural economy. Meet the people, take photographs and learn of a culture that has had very little outside influence and continue to Turmi. We will visit the weekly market of the Hamer and Bena People, in Dimeka Market (Saturday Market) a highlight of Omo Valley where all the ethnic tribes come to shop. The market is exciting and you may have the opportunity to buy some of the tribal regalia and artifacts. Day 4 - In the morning we drive to Omo Rate crossing the Omo River by boat to visit the Galab village in the bank of the lower Omo valley. One of a small group of the Omo Valley tribes, called Dasanach. In the afternoon we will have an optional bull jumping ceremony, if available for this day or visit one of the Villages of the Hamer tribes. 6 TURMI MARKET Day 5 In the morning we will see the weekly market of the Hamer tribes (Monday Market) and continue to OmoRate for a visit of the Dasanach people and villages. Accommodation Camping Rooming camping Included Activities: Visit tribes, Villages and Markets OMO NATIONAL PARK Day 5 - Drive to Omo National park through the Ethiopia's indigenous dense forest. Accommodation Camping Rooming camping Included Activities: Tribal area, Villages, park walk KIBISH Day 6- Drive to Kibish through Beeka offee platatio, Ethiopia s largest old offee plantation. On the way visit the Menit tribe. After crossing the Akobo River you experience the African Savanna grass land. Continue driving further west to Tulgit and then to Kibish. Tulgit and Kibish are small towns of the Surma people. The rest of the days walk around your campsite to visit the Surma people. 7 KIBISH Day 7 - Full day in Kibish visiting the Surma tribes and villages. In addition, if there are cattle in the area, there should be time to visit the herders and perhaps witness how they tap the livestock for blood and body scarification in the river. 8 BEBEKA or Mizan Teferi Day 9- Drive to Bebeka through the heart of the Kaffa region where Kaffa and Bentch agriculturalist live. The latter are known for applying elaborate murals to the exterior of their houses and visit their agricultural area. Accommodation Yitayish hotel Included Activities: Tribal area, Villages JIMMA Day 10 - Drive to Jimma, through dense, indigenous forest. The Kefecho, Yem and Bench tribes live in this area, which is famous for coffee, tea and spice growing. WE will visit Jimma market. Accommodation Honeyland hotel Included Activities: Yem tribes, Small Market ADDIS ABABA Day 11 - Drive to Addis Ababa and visit the shopping centers.
