However, what the cities lack in excitement, the surrounding wilderness areas more than make up for in outstanding natural beauty. The country s primary tourist draw card is undoubtedly the vast red expanse of the Kalahari desert and its remarkably beautiful Okavango Delta - the largest inland delta in the world provide a haven for an abundance of African wildlife. Other highlights include the impressive Makgadikgadi salt pans where visitors are privy to massive zebra migrations during the flood season; the Savuti plains which host large prides of lions; and the Tsodilo Hills where 4500 rock paintings form a unique record of human settlement over many millennia.

3 P a g e 3 The Khwai area of the Okavango lies along the northern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. This is an unfenced boundary allowing wildlife to move freely between the woodlands in the wet season when water is plentiful and back to permanent rivers and lagoons in the dry season. The Khwai area offers the same wildlife experience as the reserve with the added advantage of being a private concession which means the ability to do walking safaris and night drives. 4 P a g e 4 Day 3: Sky Beds, Khwai Private Reserve Welcome to Khwai Private Reserve, acres bordering onto both the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. It is an innovative community based joint venture partnership that adjoins onto the world famous Okavango Delta eco-system. The Reserve was established to create a meaningful bridge between the tourism industry and local villagers, ensuring significant economic income for local communities, first world environmentally sensitive practices and a superb safari experience. The massive Khwai Private Reserve comprises of some of the most fantastically diverse habitats in northern Botswana, including riverine woodlands, floodplains, open savannah, mopane woodland, rivers and lagoons. This range of habitats results in a range of wildlife, including elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah and of course the eponymous sable antelope. Unique as one of the world s few inland deltas, the placid waters and lush indigenous forests offer a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species. The Okavango Delta offers a number of activities for the visitor; game viewing, birding and fishing are all on offer. One can experience this magical world of islands and waterways from land, air and water. Highlights include the elusive Sitatunga antelope which has found refuge in this pristine wetland ecosystem, while birds such as the African fish eagle, Pel's fishing owl and many others provide a spectacular display. Safaris are conducted both by boat and on land. This section of the park is best known for its elephant and hippo populations but the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them. There is excellent fishing, a terrifying bungee jump and arguably the best commercial white water rafting in the world. Prices, accommodation, vehicles and aircraft are subject to season and availability, and can be changed without prior notice. Quotation is Nett to agent and valid only for dates above. No responsibility for delays, additional costs caused by unforeseen circumstances, deviations or delays due to weather conditions, safety precautions, mechanical breakdowns or any other cause will be liable against the Operator. Operator has the right to change the confirmed vehicle/aircraft to a vehicle/aircraft of similar size or a combination of vehicle/aircraft should there be a technical problem to said vehicle/aircraft. It is compulsory for all guests to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the duration of their safari. Passport/Visa Note: All guests require a passport valid for at least six months beyond the period of intended stay in the country. Passports should have minimum three blank pages upon entry into the country. All visitors to Namibia must also have a valid return air-ticket to country of origin. All visa requirements must be fulfilled and these are the responsibility of the guests only. BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS: Confirmations and Payments All bookings must be in writing, a booking reference will be allocated to you which we kindly ask that you use in all your correspondence. Provisional bookings can be held for 7 days; thereafter a written confirmation is required. A 25% non-refundable deposit is also required to secure the quotation and only upon receipt of such, will the provisional bookings be confirmed. The final balance payment will be due 8 weeks prior to date of travel. The full payment due will be required to secure the quotation and provisional bookings, when booking is confirmed within 8 weeks to date of travel. Cancellation In the event of any cancellations made within 8 weeks of date of travel, a percentage of the quote as well as the 25% non-refundable deposit will be charged. An invoice amount for this cancellation will follow as described below: Within 8 weeks 50% Less than 45 days before departure 100% Please note that some of the lodges/establishments require full payment when making a booking. Refunds on full pre-payment of lodges/establishments vary and will have to be dealt with individually.
