At Maun airport we take a charter flight to Delta Camp, in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Transfer by boat to the main camp and start birding. Birding and animal viewing at Delta Camp and foot and by mekoro. Waterways surround much of the area and the lodge overlooks a lagoon. The local guides here keep a close eye on the resident Pels Fishing Owl. Morning birding and later charter flight to Khwai airstrip. Transfer to Sango Safari Camp, birding and game viewing already. Game viewing and birding in Khwai Community Area & Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best areas in the delta for African Wild Dogs and other predators. Excellent raptors. Game viewing and birding in Khwai Community Area & Moremi Game Reserve. Big herds of Red Lechwe antelope on the floodplains. After last morning, charter flight from Khwai to Kasane. Transfer to lodge on the edge of the Chobe National Park. Birding and animal viewing in Chobe National Park. River cruise on the Chobe River. Huge herds of elephants and incredible riverside birding. Birding and animal viewing in Chobe NP. Transfer back to Kasane and road transfer to the Kazangula Ferry. Ferry cross over to Zambia, met by a representative from our Livingstone lodge. Road transfer to Livingstone and private late afternoon cruise on the Zambezi. Early morning birding on the property. After breakfast visit Victoria Falls. Depart for Livingstone airport for flight to Johannesburg. End of services. Accommodation We stay at excellent lodges that offer personal service. All rooms have private facilities and either fans or cool thatched roofs. The food on tour is tasty: generally Western-style cuisine, with a hint of African influence. Beef, chicken and fish, feature on the menu.
