Since 2003, Sama has led thousands of bikers from all over the world on tours of Southern Africa. Our core values are simple - we are a family run business that really cares about the quality of your experience in our country. We run all the tours ourselves and respond to all enquiries personally. As of 2014, we are official BMW Motorrad Touring partners, meaning that our tours are run according to the high standards set out by BMW. Why South Africa? South Africa was made for motorcycling. We have mountain passes, coastal routes and scenic bush roads that will leave you breathless. Throw in our diverse culture, incredible wildlife and amazing adventure activities and you have the motorcycle trip of a lifetime. We have an extensive network of roads - all in great condition with very little traffic. 3

3 What is included in the tour price? Motorcycle rental, petrol, high quality accommodation, meals and exciting activities and safaris are all included in the tour price. All tours are led by local South African tour guides (BMW Approved) who know the best motorcycling routes in Southern Africa. All your luggage is carried in our back up vehicle providing ultimate freedom for your ride. Please note that certain meals and petrol on tours that travel north of South Africa are not included. No flights are included. Back Up vehicle On all our guided tours, we have an air conditioned back-up vehicle that follows the group. This vehicle carries all the luggage of the group as well as a spare motorcycle, tools, a first aid kit, tea, coffee, bottled water and snacks. If you have a partner that does not ride motorcycles, you can book him or her a spot in the back-up vehicle for the trip. If your passenger or pillion gets tired they can also ride in the backup vehicle as much as they like. Accommodation We use 3-4 star accommodation for all our motorcycle tours. All lodgings have been personally chosen by the Sama Team for their high standard of luxury and service. All lodges have beautiful, charming settings and all the home comforts you require, such as en-suite bathrooms, fresh towels, quality linen and coffee and tea facilities. In most locations, a laundry service is available and WIFI is available daily. Riding level required We welcome riders of all levels of experience and patrons are encouraged to ride at their own pace at all times. Our scheduled guided tours take place 99% on good paved (tarmac) roads. However all tours include free optional dirt rides led by our tour guides. You can ride as much or as little dirt as you like. Group Sizes We specialize in small group motorcycle adventures. On average we have between 8 and 10 motorcycles on a tour and we never take more than 12 motorcycles. This way, our tour guides are able to give more care and attention to each individual on the tour. Tour Guides All our tour guides are local South Africans with a passion for Southern Africa and motorcycle riding. They will be able to show you South Africa through their own eyes and interpret local cultures for you. All our guides have been through intensive tourguide training (As laid out by BMW Motorrad) and will be able to offer you friendly and professional service. Self Guided Tours Our famous guided tours are also available without a tour guide or back-up vehicle for those who prefer independent riding. On a Self-Guided tour we book all your accommodation, activities and safaris for you, supply you with a GPS fully loaded with route maps and provide side panniers and a top box for your luggage. You also receive a detailed itinerary, guide book, map and 24 hour support Motorcycle Rentals We offer BMW F700GS, F800GS, R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure models for rental. All our motorcycles are less than two years old, maintained daily and serviced exclusively by BMW approved mechanics. You can rest assured knowing that the bike you will be riding on tour is in top notch condition - just like riding right off the dealership floor. All rental bikes come standard with a top box, unlimited mileage, cross border papers and 24 hour back-up support. Side panniers, tank bags, GPS s as well as jackets, helmets and gloves are also available for rental. Safety in South Africa South Africa is a very popular tourist destination and it is easy to see why, all the places we visit on our tours are safe and tourist friendly. As a country we have top quality medical facilities and quick and efficient emergency response services. Our back-up drivers are all trained in basic first aid
