3 P a g e 3 Overview - World renowned photographer &, film maker and wildlife guide Warren Samuels is giving Photographic instruction given in the car each day. - Safari at Governors Private Camp. - Evening slide shows on wildlife photography illustrating some examples of how to take good wildlife pictures, - Client Image Appraisal sessions - Screening on wildlife documentaries that Warren have been involved in, which he will present together with a brief lecture on the "making of" of each particular film. - For those that would like it, Warren will be available to provide extra photographic coaching outside of game drive hours in the camp photographic gallery. 4 P a g e 4 Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve The Masai Mara together with Tanzania s Serengeti form Africa s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential and you can even do a horseback safari. You will be met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, transferred to Wilson Airport for flight to Masai Mara. Flight to Masai Mara is around 45 minutes and takes you over the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley. Met on arrival at Musiara airstrip, short game drive en route to the camp. Lunch at the camp. Afternoon Tea with a briefing on cameras and shooting modes, before the game drive at 3:30pm to 6.30pm "Welcome to Governors," sundowners and snacks at the Bush. Dinner and overnight at Private Camp. Overnight: Governors' Private Camp The jewel in the Governors Camp crown; for those who want an exclusive taste of the Governors experience. Private Camp can only be booked by one family or group at a time, so it s yours to enjoy, as the name suggests, in private. It means up to 16 people have, to themselves, a beautiful bend of the Mara River. We ve picked a spot where animals come to drink, hippo laze in the shallows, elephant bring their calves for a playful dip. The forest around the camp is home to many beautiful birds from rare Trogans and Turacos to nesting Hornbills. Personal attention is the hallmark of a stay here.
