4 P a g e 4 Day 1: Overnight Travel Day 2: Lake Naivasha Country Club, Lake Naivasha Lake Naivasha Lake Naivasha is the highest of the Great Rift Valley Lakes and despite having no outlet, it is one of only two Rift Valley freshwater lakes. This beautiful lake is fringed by papyrus and acacia trees, a unique geologic landscape and supports a vast array of over 450 bird species. It serves as the main drinking hole for wildlife in the area such as zebra, eland, hippo, waterbuck, buffalo and much more. Visitors can look forward to excellent game viewing, intriguing night safaris, boating excursions around the lake as well as to Crescent Island for spectacular bird watching opportunities. Other popular activities include: guided nature walks, horse riding, village visits and tours to neighbouring national parks. Arrival - Nairobi - Lake Naivasha (L/D) On early arrival at airport, you will be met by our representative and light refreshments will be served and then transfer to Naivasha. Day 3: Keekorok Lodge, Masai Mara Masai Mara The Masai Mara together with Tanzania s Serengeti form Africa s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential. Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve (B/L/D) After an early breakfast, you will travel across the bottom of the rift escarpment and head southeast, passing the dormant Longonot volcano on your right. Then you will turn off the main road acroos the Rift Valley and head towards Narok, district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. After Narok you will travel across the "breadbasket" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Mara and your lodge which is home to some of the greatest concentrations of game in Africa.

Keekorok means abundance in the local Maasai language, and the area is often teeming with wildlife. Accommodation comprises stone built, en-suite bungalows with private balconies. Day 4-5: Keekorok Lodge, Masai Mara Masai Mara National Reserve (B/L/D) The next 2 days will be spent exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara, starting early with a game drive before breakfast, and returning to the lodge for meals. Immerse yourself in this prime wildlife area and connect with nature on every level. Variety is what distinguishes the exceptional from the mundane and this reserve offers copious amounts of variation. This reserve is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, particularly when the migration is on, and millions of wildebeests and zebras make their way back and forth across the Mara River on their annual trek. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as, if you are lucky, leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You are sure to see the African buffalo. The huge expanse of grassland covers 320 sq km and is dotted with distinctive flat-topped acacia trees are watered by two rivers, Mara River and Talek River. Visitors can spend sun-drenched days on pristine beaches, swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters and discover the underwater wonderland in the coral reefs and beyond. Masai Mara - Nairobi - Mombasa (B/D) After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. Arrive into Kenya s bustling capital in the early afternoon. Once in the city, you will be dropped off at airport for your onward flight to Mombasa. On arrival in Mombasa, you will be transferred to beach hotel, where you will spend the next 5 days at leisure.
