INTRODUCTION The purpose of this information is to provide delegates to the session with necessary information regarding the host country so as to guide them during their stay. 2. VENUE AND DATE The 16 th Session of the Committee for Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture of Africa (CIFAA) will be held at the VIP Hotels in Maputo, Mozambique from 16 to 18 November This document is printed in limited numbers to minimize the environmental impact of FAO's processes and contribute to climate neutrality. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Entry visa It is necessary to have a valid passport and a visa before travelling to Mozambique. Delegates are therefore kindly requested to contact the Mozambique Diplomatic Mission in their countries as soon as possible to obtain a visa. For delegates from countries where there is no Mozambique Embassy or Diplomatic Mission, an entry visa can be obtained upon arrival at the airport at US $ 82 / 65. Vaccination Yellow fever vaccination card is required. 5. AIRPORT PICK-UP Delegates who have communicated their flight details (Flight number, arrival date and time) beforehand will be welcomed at the Maputo International Airport by the respective Hotels shuttle services.

4 4 6. LOCAL CURRENCY AND FOREIGN EXCHANGE Foreign currencies can be exchanged at the airport, in Forex bureaux and in Hotels with exchange facilities. The local currency is the Metical (MZN). The exchange rate as at August is $1 for 37 MZN. 7. DELEGATIONS ALL delegates are kindly requested to complete the Registration form below and return it to the CIFAA Secretariat latest by 01 October CLIMATE The weather may be relatively cold at the time of the session and participants are advised to come with the right clothing. Typical daily air temperatures would range from as low as 22 C to 28 C.`
