MEETING ARRANGEMENTS 2.1. The opening meeting will be on April 2019 at 09:00 hours at the ICAO WACAF Conference room, followed by the meeting s programme. The working hours will be from 9:00 to 16:30 hours with a lunch break at hours and short morning and afternoon coffee breaks Working Languages The proceedings of the Meeting will be conducted in English and French 2.3. Registration of Participants All registrations will be done online at the ICAO link below; A Desk will be set up at the AFCAC Headquarters reception and will be open daily from 08:00 to 16:00 hours from 11 April 2019 for participants to receive workshop

NO REGISTRATION WILL BE DONE AT THE DESK, and participants need to register online via the ICAO link above Instruction and Documentation The meeting will be paperless and all related documentation will be on line at Participants are urged to come with laptops for access to the electronic documents. 3. WEATHER AND LOCAL INFORMATION Senegal s climate is pleasantly tropical with year-round average temperatures of between 26 and 30 C, uninterrupted sunshine from November to May and a short rainy season between the months of June and October. See Website: Dakar is the capital and largest city of Senegal. It is located on the Atlantic coast and it is the westernmost city on the African mainland. Its position on the western edge of Africa is an advantageous departure point for trans-atlantic and European trade; this fact aided its growth into a major regional port. Please be advised that for participants from non-ecowas Member States, visas are obtainable upon arrival at the Blaise Diagne International Airport. Participants may obtain their visas on arrival and/or from Diplomatic Missions of Senegal in their respective countries. Where there are no resident Diplomatic Missions of Senegal, participants could obtain their visas from the nearest Diplomatic Mission of Senegal accredited to their countries For entry into Senegal, travelers are required to present a yellow fever certificate. It is therefore advisable for all participants to have valid yellow fever certificates. 4 web: HOTEL ACCOMMODATION 5.1. A list of selected hotels in Dakar is attached. Participants are requested to make their accommodation arrangements directly with the hotel of their choice. It is highly recommended that participants confirm their reservations as soon as possible. 6. CURRENCY The currency used in Senegal is the CFA Franc. Major international currencies, travelers cheques and credit cards are accepted by hotels and for other transactions. Commercial banks, foreign currency exchange bureaus and various hotels provide exchange facilities. Banks are located not far away from the venue and around the Airport. They are opened from 07:40 to 12:15 hours and 13:40 to 15:45 hours from Monday to Friday. The current average exchange rate of the US dollar to CFA francs stands at 1 US dollar = 572 CFA francs. The exchange rate for the EURO is 1 = 655 CFA francs. 7. TRANSPORTATION 8. WI-FI The taxi fare from the Blaise Diagne Airport is between 25,000 and 30,000 FCFA. For any further information, please see the information desks/counters upon arrival. Hotel Shuttle: Most hotels have shuttle/taxi arrangements. Please contact the hotel for more information/arrangements. Taxi cabs in Dakar are generally readily available 24 hours from/to any location. Please be advised that Wireless Internet access is available in the conference rooms of the WACAF Regional Office and in most hotels.
