2 ITEM 1: FLYING LEOPARD GREG DU TOIT Original photographic image Greg Du Toit Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013 VALUE: R3000 This leopard was spotted in an African Ebony Tree in the Okavango Delta. Noticing a herd of impala, Greg captured the pivotal moment the leopardess flew out of the tree towards the buck. In her steep vertical decent she was poetry in motion. Greg du Toit was the Wildlife Photographer of the Year He is also an 8th generation African born in South Africa in 1977, and has lived and worked in four different African countries. From a young age, he has engaged the wilds of Africa, and there was never any doubt as to what he would do with his life. It was therefore no surprise that before completing his tertiary education in Nature Conservation, he went to live permanently in the African bush.

A chance for Trailists to spend 3 nights and 3 days in the wilderness. Trailists will get an intimate wilderness experience led by those men responsible for protection and management of this amazing area. You will not get a more in depth, behind the scenes experience, and it literally a once off unique opportunity. The trail is designed to provide a basic living experience, with a minimum of equipment but with adequate water and food. Water is collected from springs or rivers in the wilderness area, and bathing is done in the river wherever possible. A very important part of the trail is spending time alone on watch at the fire at night. In this way one gets to embrace silence and solitude, qualities that are difficult to find in today's world. Trailists are required to leave their watches and cellular phones in their cars in order to experience greater freedom from time constraints and deadlines. The trail is self-catering and trailist provide and carry all their own equipment (including first aid kit, trowel and other safety items). 10 ITEM 9: RHINO TRACKING 3 NIGHT STAY FOR 4 PEOPLE RHINO TRACKING VALUE: R VALID: One Year This lodge is situated in a 22,000 hectare conservation area. This offer includes three nights accommodation for four people on a self-catering basis. You will need to make your own arrangements to get to the reserve, which is situated close to Lephalale. You will join the monitoring team by vehicle and on foot in tracking, sighting and assessing as many rhino as possible in the survey period. You may be requested to assist in photographing each sighted rhino and identifying them according to known markers. Camera trapping at designated points during the survey will be done and you will assist in collecting the data and re-setting the camera traps. Lastly you will also assist in capturing data and get some insights as to how this data is applied in the management of the rhino population.
