Rogers Recreation Area Near Damascus, Virginia Sunday, June 12 th Wednesday, June 15 th, 2016 (Jr. and Sr. High Trip) $100 Total - $20 Deposit due by March 20 th, $80 due Sunday, May 29 (Money/Forms to Turn-In Box) *This is an entry level trip. No experience required. A 3 night/4 day spiritual journey through God s great outdoors, the Appalachian Trail.* ITINERARY Sunday, June 12 th 10:00am Leave the church during Sunday School *Bring a packed lunch Travel to Mt. Rogers Recreation Area (Southern Virginia) Dinner (Drive-thru fast food) *Bring Cash 6:00pm Park at VA. 603, Fox Creek Hike 1.7 miles in to Old Orchard Shelter Setup Approximately 7:30pm Monday, June 13 th Hike 6 miles to campsite beside stream and Blueberry Bush Field YUM! Set up camp and enjoy Extra time to explore Play in the stream Devotion/Discussion around the fire Tuesday, June 14 th Hike 6 miles to Thomas Knob Shelter Camping Area beside beautiful mountain views.
