4 Geoff Hunt and Alan Reeves present "Shalford 2 - The Seahorse" The Seahorse 52 The Street, Shalford, Surrey GU4 8BU Sunday 20th May, 2.15 p.m. Distance: 3.2 miles Time allowed: 4 hours Starter Clues The answers are all within the front courtyard area. 1 Requires mending? Oh, ok. 2 So she ate her hash here. 3 Baby lion appears to have ingested a sort of pencil. Spare A Plant yourself here on a nice sunny day! Stage yards Turn left from the pub. Turn left at the Public Bridleway sign where the stage starts. Soon turn right downhill. The clues end after 300 yards where the path meets the water works car park. Continue through the water works and along the path to a brick bridge where the stage ends. 4 Stylish little Kenneth s birds? What cowards they are. 5 Daisy and Ermintrude, if you please, scratching their elbows and scraping their knees. 6 Place of worship mixes English and Scottish traditions? Stage yards Continue along the path to the park, follow the left hand edge of the field and turn left through the gates. Continue over a small footbridge to the canal. Turn left to the canal bridge. 7 Not quite all there after sinus trouble returns? 8 Wild waders flood a wet marsh. 9 A notorious Calais camp, which here sounds somewhat damp. Spare B Guy's first interest was arboriculture? Stage yards Cross the canal bridge and follow the towpath with the canal on your left. Continue to a small concrete 'N T' post by a bridge over a lock. 10 Returning the better part of nine thousand quid.
5 11 Silver Shadow? 12 The place for doing glam rock & roll? 13 Elusive river dweller appears to be 'feeling awkward'. Stage yards Continue along the footpath to the railway bridge over the canal. 14 The canal users worry about winder rage here. 15 Are Vince and family an aerial menace? Stage yards Continue under the bridges and after 150 yards turn right up onto an old railway embankment. Follow this path to the road bridge over the path. 16 Clearly not 'jerry built'. 17 The end for many a drag racer - but not on this sort of track. 18 Financial pond-life are innately stylish? It's in the small print. Stage yards Continue ahead under the road bridge. At the canal bridge turn left down to the towpath and continue with the canal on your right to the road bridge over the canal. 19 But why tell us Go on foot if there s public transport? 20 Kite gassing - unfortunately a common sight in the countryside. 21 Klingon reported in charge of a masonic star ship? Stage yards Cross the road and turn right. After 150 yards follow the footpath left for Guildford & Shalford. Continue past the Mobile Home Park to a bridge over the railway where the stage & walk ends. 22 Radically environmentalist on the face of it, but seems to have the Midas touch. 23 LA shoppers move into a home. 24 Keep safe from the likes of Marx. 25 A sign that Ciaran doesn't feel safe here? Continue over the bridge for 650 yards until the path bends right back to the Seahorse.
6 Shalford 2 - The Seahorse - Young Walkers' Questions The stage details are the same as given in the League Walkers question sheet. Start 1 Who can you ride the surf with? 2 Where can you see CBBC?
