2 Additions, Amendments and Deletions to the 2017 rates manual include: BOTSWANA 11 May 2017 Selinda Adventure Trail - July departure dates corrected 28 July 2016 The opening date of Duba Plains Camp has been amended to 01 March 2017 Duba Expedition Camp to remain open for the whole of We therefore will have two safari experiences available in the Duba Plains concession from March 2017 onwards 16 August 2016 Duba Plains Camp - tent numbers updated and the new 2 bedroomed Duba Plains Suites added Rhinos Without Borders - In an ongoing effort to raise funds to move rhino to Botswana, a nett contribution of U$D2 per person per night will be automatically included to your reservation. This contribution is totally voluntary, with us striving to be proactive by including your guest s support of this initiative. Should not wish to have this included on your reservation/s, please speak to your reservations consultant and we will remove this. As you know, Rhinos Without Borders is very close to our hearts, and we strongly encourage you to support us in our efforts to prevent the extinction of a species (by moving at least 100 rhinos to Botswana, where poaching is virtually non-existent). If you would like more information on where your contribution goes, please visit: 07 March 2017 From 01 April 2017, a conservation levy will be applicable to all new Botswana camp & safari experience reservations. The conservation fee of $ 10 per person per night will be automatically be added to the relevant new reservation. This cannot be collected from guests as part of their extra s bill at the camp/s in Botswana. These funds will be utlised by our Great Plains Foundation, a registered USA based 501(c) Foundation, in the ongoing needs to expand and enhance natural habitats in Africa 27 March 2017 Wild Studio Botswana 3 night photographic safari package rates for Duba Expedition Camp and Selinda Camp now included May 2017 From the 1st of June 2017, a Tourism Development Levy of $30 per person is applicable to all international guests arriving in Botswana. This levy is payable at all ports of first entry including airports and border posts. Residents & citizens of SADC countries are exampt form this charge. Payments can be made in cash (U$Dollars) with no change given or via credit cards (Mastercard and Visa). After payment a unique receipt corresponding to the guest s passport will be generated. This receipt is then to be presented to Immigration officials. This receipt is valid for 30 days and can be used for multiple entry. KENYA 12 February 2016 Mara Plains - There is a 0% increase in the nightly accommodation rate for the period 01 March - 31 May & Mara Plains - Late Check out fees have been reduced ol Donyo Lodge - as from 11 January 2017, all Suites will have private swimming pools. The photographic tuition sessions are designed to have our specialist photographer teaching guests whilst in a vehicle, when back in the camp or photographic studio as well as guests practicing their photographic skills on their own. Nightly Ride Kenya Horse riding safari rates include nightly accommodation as per the above inclusions / exclusions, however all open game drives are replaced by early morning and late afternoon horse safari out rides in the greater Maasai Mara Reserve and Olare Motorogi and Mara North, Naibosho private conservancies. The total cost of the Wild Studio experience is the combination of the above Rack and Nett rate amounts above. The above Rack and Nett rate portions for the Wild Studio experience will be combined and invoiced for at time of confirmation. Return scheduled intercamp air transfers from Nairobi Wilson or alternative Kenyan safari camps, items of a personal nature, curios and spa services are not included in the above rates. All reservations are subject to a minimum 2 guests. These photographic workshops can be expanded beyond 3 nights. We will gladly advise the cost for any additional nights. It is encouraged that guests stay at additional Great Plains Conservation camps to further promote and enhance the diversity of their photography portfolio. Maximum 8 guests per workshop with 4 guests per vehicle. The photographic tuition sessions are designed to have our specialist photographer teaching guests whilst in a vehicle, when back in the camp or photographic studio as well as guests practicing their photographic skills on their own. Late checkouts are subject to availability and additional costs (including daily conservancy/park fees). Check out time is 8:30am and guests may use public areas until departure. Mara Expedition Camp guest tents include the complimentary use of a pair of Leica binoculars. PRIVATE TUITION Private photography tuition, workshops and pricing is available on request at all our camps. Child rates do not apply to these 3 day Wild Studio workshops. Children that accompany guests on the above photographic workshops will be charged the applicable adult rate. Minimum age is 5 years at ol Donyo Lodge and 8 years at Mara Expedition Camp. Families will be combined with other guests on all activities and private vehicle charges may apply for a sole use vehicle.

15 GENERAL RELATED TO ALL RATES IN THIS MANUAL All city services and ground transfers, conservation/park fees, levies, and air transfers are excluded unless otherwise noted. Standard Terms and Conditions apply - a copy of which is available on request. Rates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, fuel levies, surcharges, government decree, or items of this nature. Comprehensive medical and travel insurance (including temporary Flying Doctor Membership where relevant in Kenya) is required for all guests travelling to the properties and is a condition of travel and stay. GREAT PLAINS CONSERVATION These general guidelines apply to all of the Great Plains Conservation properties: Families at all our camps will be on shared activities with other guests. The minimum age requirement for walking and canoeing is 12 years in all camps except Selinda Explorers Camp where activities will be adjusted for children 10 years and older. Children 15 and younger must share a room with at least one adult. On the Selinda Adventure Trail, children 10 to 13 years (inclusive) are welcome on departures that have been booked on a private basis. This allows the guide and crew to adjust the daily walking and/or canoeing distances to suit the family s needs. The child rate is based on a child sharing with two adults (except ol Donyo Lodge, Mara Plains and Selinda Camp family rooms where it is up to two children sharing with two adults). If this configuration is not possible, then it may be that the child will be charged the applicable adult rate. We evaluate each booking to ensure we deliver the best possible safari experience to all our guests in camp. In some cases, we may need to turn away a family booking in order to do so; we will do everything possible to try and avoid that outcome. Our camps are located in wildlife zones that are not fenced in and there are no child care facilities in our camps. Parents/guardians must be watchful of and responsible for their children at all times. Each of our camps has a unique child policy based on the size, location and structure of the camp.
