4 BOHS W504 Asbestos & Other Fibres International Module Course price: Exam price: Duration of course: vat includes lunch and refreshments each day (no vat) 5 days including the practical assessment and written exam Course overview: This course provides candidates with the opportunity to increase their understanding of all matters related to asbestos. The module replaces the old BOHS S301 course and covers all the information on P cert modules from P401-P405 within 5 days. All Asbestos Consultants and Analysts should attend to enhance their knowledge about asbestos and other fibres. This module has International status and recognition. You'll learn about asbestos; health hazards; exposure limits; asbestos in buildings; asbestos surveys; asbestos remediation; asbestos management; assessments; air sampling and fibre counting; analysis of bulk samples and four stage clearance procedures. Pre-course reading of HSG The Analysts Guide is strongly recommended. Anyone who has a duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, i.e., building owners, building managers, owners of small to medium sized company premises, etc. Refresher training and exam re-sits are available. Anyone who is required to undertake, or commission an asbestos survey of nondomestic premises under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations You'll learn about asbestos legislation; asbestos in buildings; and their public health risk; principles of asbestos surveys; risk assessment and risk management strategies; asbestos registers; methods for bulk sampling; suitable RPE/PPE and personal decontamination. Anyone responsible for the preparation and implementation of a management plan to safely supervise and control any asbestos-containing materials in their premises. Pre-requisites? Candidates for the BOHS P407 module must already hold the BOHS P405 proficiency certificate. What you'll learn: You'll learn more about the management of asbestos in premises and the methods of controlling work on the fabric of the building or services.
