So if you have a narrow gauge live steam engine or are interested in narrow gauge live steam you will be very welcome. Please bring a steam engine to run. Both events will be light refreshments only. 3 Mid Wales & Marches Area Group Christmas Dinner Saturday 18th November The Christmas Dinner will be on Saturday 18th November (it`s earlier this year to avoid clashing with December events). Details as follows:1.3am...meet in the station cafe at Llanfair Caereinion station ( on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway ) for tea & coffee. 11am...Board our chartered train for a trip along the line to Castle Caereinion and back ( journey time 1 hour ) 12 noon..conducted tour of the new workshops at Llanfair Caereinion Station. 1pm..Sit down for Christmas Dinner. Costing details are to be finalised but the whole thing will be no more than 2 per person. Everyone is welcome to come along to the Dinner. You don`t have to be a member of the G Scale Society or anything like that. We welcome anyone who is interested in trains and eating! 4 Castle Caereinion Village Fete We had a great time at the Village fete and our layout was very popular so much so that we have been invited to put it up at next year`s Fete which will be on August Bank Holiday Monday August 27th 218 Group Running Sessions in Castle Caereinion Community Hall We start running in the Hall in October and the dates for the winter season are :Saturday 14th October Saturday 11th November Saturday 9th December Saturday 13th January Saturday 1th February Saturday 1th March Saturday 14th April We run from 9.3 am until around 3pm on every date. The Entry charge will be 1.5 for all adults and children will be free. We run Analogue Electric, Battery and Live steam.
