53 PTT.br - What were the results of the preparations?
54 PTT.br - What were the results of the preparations? All work done resulted in an event no problem infrastructure supporting traffic generated during the period Some participants did not support the amount of traffic generated mainly in the first days and saturated their connections Some upgrades made by some participants will be used to the traffic growth for a long time (Legacy Cup) Improving the exchange of traffic at various locations and improving the quality of the Internet in Brazil
55 PTT.br - The future Olympic games 2016 Preparations have already begun for Olympic games 2016 in Rio The Participants that will need connection upgrade can already request at site My.ptt.br The message we leave is : "Participants should not delay! Time may be not enough!
56 Conclusions - Internet transmission of the 2014 FIFA World Cup over PTT.br IX was successfully done; - São Paulo PTT.br network infrastructure already established to support demand of big video streaming content providers brought enough robustness to support the 2014 FIFA World Cup event. - Traffic demanded by the 2014 FIFA Worl Cup demonstrated to be lower than traffic demanded by streaming content providers.
