9 PAGE 7 Piute Mesa Trail LEAVING LANFAIR VALLEY. ENTERING CASTLE MOUNTAINS , EL DORADO CAÑON ROAD East Lanfair Valley Trail Junc on with EL DORADO CAÑON ROAD. El Dorado Cañon Road merges with the East Lanfair Valley Trail beginning here and they run together to the north. This road got its name from El Dorado Cañon, a rich gold and silver mining area near the Colorado River north of Searchlight, circa 1860s. The El Dorado Cañon Road from here to the southwest s ll exists in a nearly straight line through Lanfair Valley, although it s a bit faint in some areas.
