The esteemed Costa Diamante, home to many of our resorts, is also home to Sandy Beach. The name speaks for itself, Sandy beach is lined with white sand and pristine waters. Escape for a while as you walk the stunning beach, soak in the amber glows of some of the Worlds finest sunsets, or gaze at the beautiful stars at night. What ever you choose to do, the family here at Reservations At The Point hopes your stay is a memorable one. In order to start you off in the right direction, we have put this information piece together for you. We hope that you will find it useful. Below you will find some information about things to do in Rocky Point as well as places to dine at. We have also included some tips on what you might need to bring on your trip. Finally, we have attached driving directions, a street map with restaurant locations and a detailed map showing locations of our Sandy Beach resorts. The border town of Lukeville, Az is 0 miles from Phoenix or Tucson. It is closed from 1:00A.M. to 6:00A.M. Rocky Point is 6 miles south of the border on Mexico Route. Local laws prohibit any vehicle on the beach. It is not necessary to convert your money to Pesos. Things to do in Rocky Point.. US Dollars are widely accepted. Relax -- This one speaks for itself, I would suggest you leave your watch in the condo. Spa Treatments -- Pamper yourself to a SPA treatment or massage at the Sonoran Spa La Spa, open to all!!!! Sailing or Sunset Cruises -- Pura Vida Sailing offers guided catamaran trips. Give them a call once you are in town. ( ) Fish -- Rocky Point is known as a fishing town. Many times you will see shrimp boats making their way back to the bay. Check out Santiago s Ocean Services. ( ) Parasail -- Not for everyone but surely an enjoyable time. Check out Santiago s Ocean Services. ( ). Shopping We don t recommend one place to shop. We feel it is funner to just get out there and experience the street side shops. Try to avoid paying face value. In most cases, it becomes a challenge to see how low they will drop the price. However, enjoy the shops along the old port or ask for directions to Rodeo Drive. Both of these places offer roadside shops which will have great prices. ATV Rides -- These can be rented for about $.00 per hour, there are plenty of places to enjoy an ATV. Be careful though

2 Banana Boat Rides -- These are a blast and a must try it once experience. They should be available on the beach in front of the resort. Sightseeing -- Visit famous Bird Island and don t be alarmed if you spot a Dolphin out in the midst of the ocean, Dolphins frequent the Sea of Cortez! There is even a small aquarium next to Las Conchas called CET MAR Aquarium. Eat This is one of our favorites about Rocky Point. So much variety in food! Did someone say EAT? Tengo Hambre ( I am Hungry) There is a little something for everyone to eat in Rocky Point. From US food to Mexican food, to fresh Seafood, everyone is covered. Below we have included a few spots that you might consider. Breakfast.. Latitude 31 is a favorite spot featuring anything from Scrambled eggs and Bacon to Chorizo and eggs. The prices are right and the food is great. It is located on a hill as you approach the Fish Market Lunch Enjoy Beef Tacos at any of the local stands. Many people also visit the fish market for some Authentic Mexican food or delicious fresh seafood. If this is your choice, try The Friendly Dolphin or The Fish King. Both of these are located on the fish market at the old port. Both will offer GREAT seafood.. Dinner... There are many places to go, and any of the restaurants named above serve fantastic dinner. The atmosphere at the Friendly Dolphin is great. You might also want to try the Costa Brava, which is located right next to the Sonoran Sea main office in the fish market old port area. Both of these choices will definitely have you returning for more! We also have a few choices available in the attached street map. For reviews of restaurants in town, visit and click on the link for reviews. We try to get as much variety as possible to help everyone make an informed decision. Feel free to add to our reviews after you have dined at one of the restaurants or tried one of the activities in town. Things to bring.. Visas are not required when visiting Puerto Penasco, it is within the "free zone". Remember to bring a beach towel, Shampoo & Conditioner, Sunscreen, Mexican Auto Insurance (Save some time and purchase insurance on the internet. Visit our website at for more information). Money, as stated above US Dollars are widely accepted. Finally, please bring FUN, FUN and more FUN!!!!!! What does the resort provide..

3 Most condos are equipped with TV VCR/DVD. In most cases, bottled water is provided daily by the resort. The cleaning service will provide fresh towels, soap, and toilet paper prior to your arrival. Bed sheets and towels will be there waiting for you. The condos are fully furnished and ready for your enjoyment. If you want to bring snacks and possibly beverages, that would be a good idea. If you forget, most resorts have a small shop in the lobby where you can buy beverages. Did you forget anything? Visit Ley Supermarket in town (owned by Safeway Food stores). It is off the main road on Constitution Avenue. You might even see Safeway labels on many of the products. Almost anything you can think of can be purchased at Ley Supermarket just like home. Take Loop 0 or SR (Superstition Freeway) to I- South. Exit on SR 347 (exit 164) and head towards Maricopa hermosillo 3. Continue on SR 347 through Maricopa until you reach SR 3 towards Mobile (also known as Dead Cow Road) 4. SR 3 will end at a STOP sign. Turn left at the STOP sign and it will put you into Gila Bend.. Continue through Gila Bend until you reach McDonalds. Turn right at the sign just before the McDonalds for Mexico/SR South. 6. Take SR South to Ajo (39 miles) 7. Continue on SR South to Why, AZ ( miles). Continue on SR South to Lukeville, AZ (7 miles) 9. Lukeville is the border between USA and Mexico. Once you cross the boder, you will be in Sonoyta, Mexico. At this time, distances change from miles to kilometers.. Continue on the main road for approximately 1.miles. You will arrive at a -way intersection with a stop sign. At this time, you will see a monument and signs for PTO Penasco and Santa Ana to the left. Make a left at the stop sign and the bear right, follow the signs to PTO Penasco. 11. Stay to the right towards Puerto Penasco/Caborca at the Y on the road. There is a traffic light soon after you bear right. Continue straight through this traffic light to Mexico Highway.
