2 TREATMENT OF THE PATIENT WITH IMPLANT & DENTAL COMPLICATIONS and PRACTICAL APPROACHES TO THE ESTHETIC CASE FROM A Z Saturday, January 19, :00 am - 5:00 pm (6 CE) Speaker: Michael Block, DMD Title: Treatment of the Pa ent with Implant and Dental Complica ons U lizing Gra ing and Guided Surgery Synopsis: Unfortunately, implants and teeth in the esthe c zone can develop problems which result in a loss of so and hard ssue, with gingival recession on the implants and teeth resul ng in a grave pa ent compromise. This presenta on will demonstrate algorithms for treatment of these unfortunate problems, resul ng with restora on of the pa ent to their previous condi on, or with realis c results which require prosthe c solu ons to mask gingival deformi es. Surgical techniques will be shown as well as the use of guided surgery minimizing pa ent morbidity with the rehabilita on. Course Educa onal Objec ves: Understand the diagnos c criteria needed to develop their treatment plan. Understand the ming of orthodon c interven on with surgical procedures to op mize the esthe c result. Have available algorithms that they can follow to simplify a seemingly complex problem. Title: Prac cal approaches to the esthe c case - from A-Z - treatment planning, use of scanning, naviga on methods to accurately place implants, immediate provisionaliza on methods Synopsis: Pa ents desire an esthe c restora on to replace one or more teeth in the anterior maxilla. This presenta on will discuss methods for the OMS to use for efficient planning using virtual methods, followed by an algorithm approach. Immediate provisionaliza on will be shown. Mul ple cases will be shown who have had ridge augmenta on to demonstrate the use of CT guidance. Problems with these methods will be shown. Course Educa onal Objec ves: Understand how to use cone beam scans combined with intraoral scanning for efficient planning. Understand prac cal surgical methods to restore hard and so ssue within the esthe c zone. Understand when to use naviga on for maximal effec veness with considera on of incision design.
