Region II may be one of the smallest regions in the Associa on, and Evansville may not be a big city, but some mes BIG things come in small packages! The city of Evansville began an adver sing campaign a year ago called e is for. Since that me, e has popped up everywhere in the city. For ADDC in 2018, e is for energy, excitement, educa on, entertainment, Evansville and a whole lot more. On Wednesday, September 19th, you re offered a choice between four field trips, each showcasing a different area of the tri-states of Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. In Indiana, you can visit a refinery, explore the site for two utopian living experiments, and experience the largest display of automobiles and oil memorabilia in the Midwest. A second trip in Indiana shows off the history and grandeur of pre-prohibi on days in the small, but interna onally known, town of French Lick. In Illinois, you ll visit Elastec, where they produce equipment to cleanup oil spills and other hazardous waste, get a first hand look at a drilling site, enjoy a picnic on the farm and possibly ride in a combine and pet a miniature donkey. A trip to Kentucky includes a step back in me at Pa s 1880 se lement, a visit to an 1850 s working farm and Barkley Dam. Thursday offers seminars taught by experts in the fields of seismic, lease opera ons, land restora on, cleanup of hazardous waste, surveying, and mo va on. Did you ever wish you knew what it takes to be an effec ve leader or wish your club knew how to present The Magic Suitcase to a school or group? We ve got those topics covered too! A er a long day of business mee ngs and an Industry Luncheon,, it ll be me to relax and have fun at the Friday Ice Breaker event Pump Jacks, where we will be celebra ng the women and men in the field. Following a buffet dinner, DJ Brian Koester is sure to keep you moving and grooving to the tunes you know and love, with a li le boot scoo ng kicked in! We haven t forgo en the spouses and guests you ve invited to come with you to conven on. Vernon, IN Countrymark Learning Pavilion in Mt Vernon, Indiana will host the Certification Class in Completion and Production. Once the well has been drilled, you will learn the many ways to complete a well and getting it ready to put on production. Speaker to be determined, follow the ADDC website for more information. A minimum of 4 people must attend. ADDC offers the opportunity to earn a Petroleum Tech Certificate of Completion for the six subjects included in the curriculum. Cisco College in Abilene, TX offers continuing education hours based on the Certification Program. Transportation provided to/from hotel

17 The ADDC Foundation will be sponsoring a symposium during the Business session, Friday morning, September 21, :00 am 10:30 am Transporting Hydrocarbon Products Pipeline, Trucking, Barge and Rail. Industry Speakers on the panel will represent these four sectors of transportation. The goal of the ADDC Foundation is Energy Education. The Foundation also funds community outreach projects throughout ADDC and the energy industry in order to create awareness of the role and value of energy in our daily lives.
