5 NASA Glenn Visitor Policies Duration of Visitor Badges All adult visitors who will be on-site for 1-29 days in the same calendar year will receive a one-day Visitor Pass. Any visits lasting days are required to be processed for a temporary badge. This processing requires the visitor to be fingerprinted. Identification and Citizenship All visitors are required to report to the Main Gate and present a form of government-issued photo identification, such as a driver's license. Effective July 21, 2014 the Real ID Act of 2005 established the minimum standards for NASA Facilities to follow. Visitors using state issued identification (driver s license) must meet the Real ID Act requirements documented at Currently, there are 5 non-compliant states where the state issued identification is not accepted at NASA Facilities as a valid form of governmentissued photo identification. Visitors are required to display their Visitor Pass on their outermost garment and above the waist during the visit and must be accompanied by a NASA Glenn badged employee at all times. At the conclusion of the visit, the Visitor Pass must be returned to the Main Gate. Foreign Nationals who are Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs), also known as Permanent Resident Aliens (PRAs) or green card holders, U.S. citizens representing a foreign entity and persons with multiple citizenships (one of which is U.S.) will be processed as a U.S. citizen. LPRs should be instructed to bring two forms of identification (including their green card) to the NASA site. If a visitor is not a U.S. citizen, the visitor must be sponsored via a NASA C-216 and processed in accordance with the Center International Visitor policy.
