Campmeeting Age Dates All ages are welcome to attend this family camp In order to attend the breakout rallies, the applicant must be the following age at the time of the camp start date Summer Splash Rally - Children (ages 5-10) Summer Fire Youth Rally - Youth (ages 11-18) Monday, August 6th Thursday, August 9th Service Times / Meeting Schedule class, ages 0-4, are only available for the PM services. 2 Service Locations Host Church Spirit of Faith Family Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa Chaperoned Groups nd Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, IA Meetings will be held at: Spirit of Faith Family Church Campus (see above schedule) All meetings will be open to the general public (Chaperones are not mandatory in order to attend Summer Fire/Summer Splash Rallies) SOFFC encourages all Pastors and Youth Ministers to bring chaperoned youth groups (ages 11-18) to the JEM Family Campmeeting. This meeting is a family-style campmeeting, therefore, it is required that each individual, group or church would be responsible for providing all chaperones, transportation, hotel reservations, meals and planning for their individuals and/or groups. If a church youth group or single youth does not have a chaperone that plans to attend these meetings, SOFFC will only provide chaperone care during the Summer Splash/Summer Fire Youth Rallies and outing (Aquatic Center) for Summer Splash. SOFFC chaperone care is NOT provided for the hotel stay or travel to/from hotel other than transportation to/from the offsite outing to the host hotels. Please communicate this information ASAP on the individuals Registration Forms. If a church plans to bring a chaperoned children s group (ages 5-10), it is also required that each individual, group or church would be responsible for providing all chaperones, transportation, hotel reservations, meals, and planning for their individuals and/or groups. As mentioned, SOFFC is hosting a Summer Fire Youth Rally and a Summer Splash Rally breakout session one time during this week of meetings (please see meeting schedule). We ask that all chaperones, youth and/or children who plan to attend their age appropriate breakout rally, please complete a Summer Splash Registration Form (ages 5-10) or Summer Fire Registration Form (ages 11-18) online ( Please submit Registration Form by Friday, July 13, Group Chaperone/Driver SOFFC requires that each participating church that plans to send a chaperoned youth and/or children s group to the JEM Family Campmeeting, please provide the following for their groups: One chaperone/driver (18 years or older) per 6 youth and/or children. Each chaperone is required to have a working cell phone on hand at all times for emergency situations and use. This will provide a way for parents or guardians to contact their chaperone, youth and/or children. 3 Individual/Family/Group Hotel Reservation Information All hotel reservations must be made by each individual, group or church by contacting the hotel of your choice directly. Please see our list below for special room block pricing. The hotel reservation and billing will be the responsibility of each individual, group or church that has made the reservation. Please note, when making your reservation, be sure to confirm room occupancy with the hotel. This will assist you in your planning for how many persons are allowed per room. Host Hotels and Parking Information Coralville Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Coralville, Iowa 300 East 9th Street, Coralville, Iowa Telephone: Room Block: Ask for JEM Family Campmeeting Room rate: $ plus tax Parking: $8.00 plus tax per car/van ($20.00 per oversized) Room Drop date: Sunday, July 15, 2018 The parking at the Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Coralville, Iowa is owned by the city of Coralville. There is a charge of $8.00 (plus tax) per day per car/van. Oversized vehicles (buses or RV s) will have spaces available on Quarry Rd. (in front of restaurants near Marriott) at $20.00 (plus tax) per day per oversized vehicle. Each car/van/oversized vehicle will be responsible for this fee. If you plan to drive an oversized vehicle, please let the Marriott know ASAP as the city requires the Marriott to request for special parking permits. Registration Packet Information: Who needs to register? Please note, individuals planning to attend ONLY main service meetings are not required to complete a Summer Splash Registration Form (ages 5-10) or Summer Fire Registration Form (ages 11-18). Due to space and transportation limitations, if you have children/youth (ages 5-18) who plan to attend a separate breakout rally for their age group or the Summer Splash optional prepaid outing (ages 5-10), it is required that all attendees preregister and prepay by completing a Summer Splash Registration Form (ages 5-10) or Summer Fire Registration Form (ages 11-18). Please refer to the above meeting schedule to assist you in your planning. Registration due date is Friday, July 13, Registration Forms Optional Outing Fees Please visit our website at for the, Summer Splash Registration Form and/or Summer Fire Registration Form, Prepay Product Order Form, flyer, poster, etc. Aquatic Center for Summer Splash (Ages 5-10) All children (ages 5-10) have the opportunity to participate in a SOFFC chaperoned offsite outing to Noelridge Aquatic Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Noelridge Aquatic Center outing will be on Thursday, August 9, immediately following the morning service (approx 12:00 pm). Below is listed a preliminary schedule to assist you in your planning. Summer Splash Registration Forms will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis due to limited space. Registration due date is Friday, July 13, The aquatic center outing fee is $7.00 per child. Each registration form must include a check for the aquatic center fee if you plan to attend. The aquatic center outing fee will include the following: SOFFC provided chaperones for buses and pool required ratios A sack lunch/beverage Pool pass Bus transportation from SOFFC Family Center and back or to host hotels ONLY listed below: If you are staying at the Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Coralville, Home2 Suites by Hilton, Coralville or Hampton Inn and Suites Cedar Rapids North, SOFFC will transport your children to the hotel to be met in the hotel lobby by their parent(s) for pick up at a designated time. Any remaining children will be returned to SOFFC Family Center for their parents to pick them up at a designated time. Due to limited transportation seats and safety policies, we are not able to transport any parents, siblings, or outside church chaperones to the aquatic center. If anyone outside the age group (ages 5-10) would like to attend the aquatic center, they would need to provide their own transportation to the site. You will be given a map and be able to follow the buses to and from the aquatic center. The aquatic center outing fee is $7.00 per person for additional family members or outside chaperones. 6 Please indicate how many outside of the age group of 5-10 will be attending. Due to number of children attending, please do not send additional spending money with your children. The SOFFC chaperones will not be able to manage each child s spending money. We ask that each child who plans to attend the aquatic center outing come prepared by wearing their swimwear under the clothes they wear to Thursday morning Summer Splash Rally at the SOFFC Family Center. Please bring dry undergarments to change into after the pool. Girls swimwear requirements One piece modest swimsuits Boys swimwear requirements Refunds or Transfer policies Swim shorts and we encourage boys swim shirts if possible Due to pool rules, boys are unable to wear shorts or shirts that are not swimsuit material Summer Splash optional outing fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Extra Spending An individual, group or church cancellation of any kind will in turn forfeit all prepaid optional outing fees. This is due to the fact that SOFFC will still incur the cost even if the individual, group or church is not able to keep their reservation. All reservations are non-transferable unless approved by SOFFC. All are encouraged to bring extra spending money for the following items: free-will offerings, T-shirts, cinch bag(s), baseball cap(s), CDs or DVDs, vending, snacks, sodas, etc. General Dress Code HeBrews Café (SOFFC) will be open 45 minutes after each evening service. This will allow all the opportunity to purchase snacks and beverages as desired. Please dress with honor and modesty for all services and activities. What do I do in my free time? An optional outing is available on Thursday for our Summer Splash registrants (ages 5-10). Please see schedule above to assist in your planning.
