2 Introduction Dates: Saturday June 9 th, 2018 When: 9:00 am 3:45 pm; Check-in between 8-9 am Where: Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area, Nebraska Game Parks Cost: $30 per Scout if in by May 30 th, 2018 ($40 after that) Who s Invited: All Cub Scouts, Tigers through Webelos Registration: Early Bird Deadline is May 30 th, 2018 Plan for the day: We will be hosting a variety of activities again this year!! The theme is Bug Hunters and we will have the areas ready to go! Crafts, Shooting Sports, Games, and Nature Hike are all included in this day of fun. Please plan to car pool to save us on the Park entry fees. Park Fees are $6.00 per vehicle. What to Bring: Sack Lunch, snacks, a change of clothes including shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, and light jacket (depending on weather), We want your participation in this event to make it a success. Bring your whole pack! You can register by pack or by individual. The registration is attached to this packet as well as a map of where we will be. Also follow the scout signs! Family Camping - There is camping available by tent/camper at the State Park Camping Areas (Park Fees apply) if you would like to come down Friday night or stay Saturday night! Camping is NOT a District Event (Cubs would need their parents camping with them. Webelos would need two deep leadership) and there will be no activities or meals scheduled that night, it will be on your own. The Park does have nice facilities. 3 HOW TO REGISTER Registration Fees: Early Bird Deadline is May 30 for the price of $30 per scout. 4 2018 Tri-Trails District - Cub Scout Day Camp General Information All Cub Scouts and Tiger Cubs are encouraged to attend!!! Be sure to dress for the weather. Bring lunch, water bottle, rain gear, jackets, sunscreen, bug repellent, etc. Please have your adults bring a blanket for the boys to sit on while they eat their lunch. T-shirts may be ordered for the adults for $10 each (sizes Adult - SM, MED, ). Please list these on your reservation form and include payment with your Day Camp fees. All adults who wish to have a Camp T-shirt must purchase them this year. The T-shirt must be ordered and pre-paid on the reservation form. Primary Staff will be provided with a Staff T-shirt. In addition to walk-around leaders, we need other adults and Boy Scouts to help staff with the many activities that we are planning for the camps. We do need your help to provide this quality program for your boys. If you are interested in the Cub Day Camp program please contact the directors listed above. This booklet is full of information as to dates, times, places, and fees. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of the persons listed above or Gary Shoemaker, Senior District Executive at or Activities include: Cub sports, Cub Games, Nature studies and project, Cub crafts, shoot BB guns, archery and much more! What to bring: Cubs and Leaders should bring a sack lunch (with proper storage), water bottle, sun block, and everyone must wear socks and shoes. ABSOLUTELY NO SANDALS! Camp T-shirts will be the official uniform. T- shirts will be issued prior to Day Camp or the morning of camp and need to be worn for camp security. Who Can Attend? Registration is open to all registered Cub Scouts who will complete grades K-4 th this spring and prospective Cub Scouts. We will accept individual registrations if no one else is coming from your Pack. PLEASE SEND ONE CHECK FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS, PAYABLE TO LONGS PEAK COUNCIL. Siblings can also attend but craft supplies and BB guns are only for Cub Scouts. Siblings are the responsibility of the parent. Parents who bring siblings can not be the primary walking leaders. There is no Tot Lot Reminder Early Bird Registration: Youth $30 Adults are Free Registration needs to be submitted by May 30 th, 2018 WHEN TO REGISTER: Pack Day Camp Registration Summary, Pack Walk-Around Leader Sheet, Station Leader/Helper signup sheet, Health forms and payment check must be received by dates noted on the Registration Form.

5 REFUND POLICY FOR DAY CAMPS The support service and fixed cost fee established for Day Camps are non-refundable. That fee is set at $8.00 for Thirty (30) days or more prior to the Day Camp, the whole fee, less the $8.00 fixed cost fee will be refunded. Between one week (5 working days) and twenty-nine calendar days prior to the Day Camp, one half (1/2) of the fee less the $8.00 fixed cost fee will be refunded. Refund requests one week (5 working days) or less prior to the Day Camp, at Day Camp, or after the Day Camp, will not be honored -- NO REFUND! Fees are transferable to another individual for the same Day Camp less the $8.00 fixed cost fee. LEADERSHIP RULES BSA rules require one adult for every 5 boys at Day Camp. Each Pack must provide these adults based on the number of boys from their pack that will be attending. If a parent is unable to help during their scheduled time at camp, arrangements should be made with your Pack to have another person take their place. PERSONAL HEALTH AND MEDICAL RECORD A Personal Health and Medical Record form MUST be completed for each boy and adult attending Day Camp. This form is filled out by the parents. If a parent helps for an hour, a day, or the entire time at camp, we need a form on file for that person in camp. Both forms (Scout and adult) must be filled out and turned in with registration and payment to the Pack. ANY UNIT WHO DOES NOT HAVE THESE FORMS TURNED IN, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN DAY CAMP. WANTED WANTED WANTED WANTED Adult staff members to help coordinate and supervise the many activities!!! Who in your Pack can help? You can also recruit responsible, hard-working Boy Scouts who are 14 years of age or older to help out!!! ORIENTATION MEETING An orientation meeting will be held to inform and train all adult and Boy Scout helpers associated with each camp. The meeting will be arranged at our mutual convenience a few days before each camp. It will normally last 1-2 hours. You will be notified by your directors as to when and where it will be held. It is mandatory that at least one leader from each Pack attend this orientation meeting. There will also be additional information given out at this time.
