1 OpenLab Workshop: Federation Architecture and Tools Wednesday 1st February 2012 (18:45) to Friday 3rd February 2012 (14:00) Location and Accommodation The workshop Federation Architecture and Tools will take place in Chateau de Villiers-le-Mahieu: Château de Villiers-le-Mahieu Villiers le Mahieu Participation fee: The workshop fee (food and lodging included) is 538 (negotiated rate) per person to be directly paid by each participant to the conference center before Friday 6 January (we will give you all details very soon). Bus transfer: UPMC will organise a bus transfer: the bus will leave UPMC (4 place Jussieu Paris) on Wednesday 1st Feb. at 18:45 - and will leave the conference center on Friday at 13:00 (arrival in Paris between 14:00 and 14:30 at "Saint-Michel" RER B station so you can take a RER train to the airports (Orly or Roissy).

2 To come to Paris Ø By plane Two mains airports serve the city: Roisy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport (23km on north) and Orly (ORY) airport (14km on south). They are deserved by public transports but you can also take a taxi or rent a car. Depending on your destination, you can take a shuttle, RER Regional Train or bus. More information at: Orly: GB/Passagers/Arrivees/QuitterAeroport/EnTransportEnCommun/ Roissy-Charles de Gaulle: Ø Itinerary from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle to UPMC (around 50 minutes) Take the RER B at station "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1" (terminal 1 and T3) or "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV" (terminal 2 and F), in direction of "Massy Palaiseau", "Robinson" or "St Rémy les Chevreuses". Stop at "Saint-Michel Notre-Dame" station. Then, take the metro 10 in direction of "Gare dʼausterlitz". Stop at "Jussieu" station and walk to the UPMC premises. Ø Itinerary from Orly to UPMC (around 50 minutes) Take the Orlyval and descend at terminus "Antony". Then, take the RER B in direction of "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle or Mitry-Claye and stop at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. Then, take the metro 10 in direction of Gare dʼausterlitz Stop at Jussieu station and walk to the UPMC premises.

4 Ø By train There are six main railway stations in Paris. All offer international connections and all are served by metros and buses. More information on

5 Public transportation in Paris Information telephone center: In Paris, you can take metro, bus, RER (train) and tramway. You absolutely need a ticket to travel in public transportation. It is called T+ ticket and enables the customers to travel on the whole of the metro, the RER within Paris, the RATP buses in Paris and the suburbs (except for lines with special fares, as shuttles from airports). You can also make connections on the metro and the RER within Paris and bus/bus or bus/tram connections. After validating it every time you board a bus or tram, you have an hour and a half between the first validation and the last validation to make one or more connections. You can buy just a ticket (1,70 ) or a carnet (10 tickets 12,50 ) from the tickets machines of the metro and RER stations, from the sales windows in certain bus terminuses, from shops approved by the RATP (mainly tobacconists) and from tickets machines in the stations.
