1 JANUARY 2018 City of Peterborough
2 City of Peterborough 500 George Street North, Peterborough, Ontario, K9H 3R9 Office of the Mayor Friends; On behalf of the City of Peterborough, I want to welcome you to 41st edition of Snofest, Peterborough s annual winter carnival. Snofest offers a wonderfully diverse range of events and activities for children, young people, families and seniors, all of which remind us how important it is to celebrate the seasons, embrace winter and remain active. Snofest is for everyone. I encourage you to take advantage of all that it has to offer. Snofest 2018 The Peterborough Snofest Winter Carnival Committee is encouraging everyone to sit less and get more active this upcoming winter! What began in 1976 as a ParticipACTION initiative has now grown to become a month long celebration of winter activities, both indoor and outdoor. With support from the City of Peterborough, Delta Bingo and the tireless efforts of numerous community organizations and service clubs, Snofest has not only grown but has stayed fresh over the years. It offers affordable fun for families and people of all ages. Phyiscal activity is part of a healthy lifestyle, and nothing to hide from over the winter! We look forward to you joining us in celebration of winter, now and for many years to come. Sincerely, The 2018 Snofest Committee Sincerely, 2018 Snofest Winter Carnival Committee Co- Chairs Daryl Bennett Mayor Ellen Stewart Stephanie Fraser Ken Fry Vice Chair/ Social Media Dianne Burnett Frank Passant Ruth Passant Treasurer Museum Activities Wimpy Borland Secretary Activities/Seniors Dustin McIlwain Faryn Stanley Donna Ferguson Activities Site Manager Beth Legere Kimberly Atkins Wayne Ferguson 2 Pavilion Coordinator 3
