INTRODUCTION The Sunea screen io mot is designed to drive all types of lateral arm-mounted awnings and vertical awnings (with without cassette). What is io-homecontrol? The Sunea screen io uses io-homecontrol, the new universal and secure wireless communication protocol, shared by the maj manufacturers in the wld of home automation. io-homecontrol enables all comft and security equipment to intercommunicate and be actuated via one single control point. system mean that it keeps in step with your changing requirements. You can start by automating roller shutters and the front do, then equip the outside awnings, the gate and garage do garden lighting with the io-homecontrol system. These scalable items of equipment are still compatible with the existing system, thanks to io-homecontrol technology, which ensures their interoperability. 3 . SAFETY.. Safety and responsibility Befe installing and using this product, please read these instructions carefully. This Somfy product must be installed by a professional motisation and home automation installer, f whom these instructions are intended. Meover, the installer must comply with current standards and legislation in the country in which the product is being installed, and infm his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions f the product. not covered by the guarantee. In this event, as f all usage not consistent with the instructions given herein, Somfy accepts no responsibility f harm damage. equipment and accessies... In addition to the safety instructions described in this guide, be sure to also observe the instructions set out in the attached document «Safety instructions to follow and keep». ) Switch off the mains supply f the awning befe OFF perfming any service operation in the vicinity. To avoid damaging the mot: ) Never immerse it in liquid! ) Avoid impacts! ) Do not drop it! 5) Never drill holes in it! 6) Avoid moving the awning if ice has fmed on it INSTALLATION The Sunea screen io must be installed in a location sheltered from inclement weather... Mot preparation ) Fit the crown (A) and the drive wheel (B) to the mot. ) Measure the length (L) between interi edge of the mot head and the rim of the drive wheel. L = A B L.. COMMISSIONING The guide only describes commissioning using a Situo io type Somfy io local control point. F commissioning using any other io control point, refer to the cresponding guide. 5.. Pre-programming the Somfy io local control point - Press the Up and Down buttons simultaneously: the awning will make a brief movement; the Somfy io local control point has been pre-programmed into the mot. 5.. Checking the mot s direction of rotation ) Press the Up button on the Somfy io local control point: a) If the awning is raised, the direction of rotation is crect: go to the section. b) if the awning is lowered, the direction of rotation is increct: press the «my» button until the awning moves; ) Press the Up button to check the direction of rotation. a b 5.. 9 Sunea screen io 7.. compatibility of your installation This function releases the fabric tension after closing an awning with upper stop (load bar stopped under the head rail). The procedure to follow to activate deactivate «Back release» is identical. F safety reasons, this function can only be activated deactivated via the io control point in scenarios: After the -second settings validation stop and befe f the next cycles. After a single power cut, and f the next cycles. To activate this function: ) Put the awning in the upper end limit position. ) Press the «my» and Down buttons simultaneously until the awning moves. - If the «Back release» function was inactive, it is activated. - If the «Back release» function was active, it is deactivated This function can be used to increase decrease the load bar s fce under the head rail, with thresholds (high-medium-low). The mot s default facty setting is medium level. F safety reasons, this function can only be accessed via the Somfy io control point in scenarios: After the -second settings validation stop and point. and f the next cycles. After a single power cut, and f the next cycles. To activate this function: ) Put the awning in the middle position. 0.5 s 5 s simultaneously, then immediately afterwards press and hold the «my» and Up buttons until the awning moves. 10 8. TIPS AND RECOMMDATIONS 8.. Questions on the Sunea screen io? Possible causes Solutions The awning does The wiring is increct. Check the wiring and modify it if necessary. not operate. The mot is hot. Wait until the mot cools down. The awning stops too soon. An increct cable has been used. The io control point battery is low. The control point is not compatible. The io control point used has not been programmed into the mot. The crown is increctly positioned. The end limits have been increctly set. Check the cable and ensure it has leads Check whether the battery is weak and replace it if necessary. Check f compatibility and replace the control point if necessary. Use a programmed control point program this control point. Fit the crown crectly. Readjust the end limits. 8.. Replacing a lost broken Somfy io control point Refer to the cresponding guide. 8.. This reset deletes all control points, all the senss and all the end limit settings, and resets the mot s direction of rotation and favourite position (my). However, the advanced functions («Back release», «Closing fce») are maintained. Only switch off the power f the mot to be reset. ) Put the awning in the middle position (if possible). ) Cut the power supply f seconds. OFF ) Switch the power supply back on f 5 to 5 seconds. ) Cut the power supply f seconds. sec. 5) Switch the power supply back on: the awning moves f several seconds. 5 sec.
