1 Welcome to the 2012 Nationals O-Mok-See! Northwest Spectacular O-Mok-See Association (NWSOA) is very excited to host the 2012 Nationals O-Mok-See. This event will be held at the in Blackfoot, Idaho where they are celebrating 110 years. Blackfoot stands as an oasis in the desert with many attractions, and facilities for its citizens, and visitors. First named Grove City because of the abundance of trees, Blackfoot is still a city of trees and parks including: Jensen Grove Park, (with its 2 mile Greenbelt Path around the lake), the Veteran's Memorial Park and the Old Courthouse Square. A challenging 18-hole golf course, considered one of the best in the state, lies next to Jensen Grove Lake, and the airport. The community swimming pool and hot tub are located on the southeast side of town and open year round. Blackfoot is also home of The Eastern Idaho State Fair, which attracts thousands of visitors during the first week of September. Along with its base of agricultural and commercial exhibits, comes a fascinating variety of entertaining night shows, horse races, and a carnival. The county seat of Bingham County, Blackfoot is the agricultural center of east Idaho's important potato industry. It is known as the Potato Capital of the World, and hosts the Idaho Potato Museum. Stalls and camping will be available from Thursday, July 19, 2012 (after 2 pm) through Saturday, July 28, 2012 (check-out time on Saturday will be at noon). If you wish to come earlier or stay longer, you will need to make other arrangements. General Rules: All horses entering the state of Idaho are REQUIRED to have a current coggins test, a health certificate and a brand inspection. No horses are allowed in the RV Park or in most of the electric camping sites within the fairgrounds. Portable pens may not be set-up in the infield. Horses may be tied to trailers in the infield during the day but may not be tied to trailers overnight. Only one (1) horse per stall or pen. Most of the stalls are 10x10 but there are a few stalls that are 12x12. Assignments will be made for the stalls by NWSOA on a first paid basis. No portable pens will be allowed to be setup as long as stalls are available. We do anticipate a large number of contestants, so if you would rather have your horse in a portable pen you can designate this on the reservation forms. Please note that all portable pens will be limited to a 12x12 maximum size and may not hold more than 1 horse per pen. NWSOA will be assigning all dry camping locations for individuals who will be setting up their own portable pens based on the number of pens needed per site so this information MUST be designated on the stall reservation forms. Contestants must clean their stalls upon departure. A $50 fee will be charged by NWSOA if stall is not cleaned. Page 1

2 General Rules (continued): Camping spots will be assigned by NWSOA on a first paid basis. Septic dumping is available in the RV park and pumping will be available for those camping inside the fairgrounds. All dogs must be on a leash or confined at your camping area, NO EXCEPTIONS. Hay will be available for purchase on site. Stall price includes initial shavings, additional bags will be available for purchase on site for $8 per bag. There will be an awards banquet on Friday night, July 27, Time TBD. Dancing will follow the awards banquet put on by the Junior Representatives. Veterinarian and farrier will be available. Stall, camping and vendor reservation forms are due to NWSOA by June 7, Awards Banquet Friday Evening, July 27, 2012: We are currently interviewing caterers to have dinner available to purchase prior to the awards ceremony and will have more information available on this at check-in. Vendor information: There many areas for vendors to set up at the show if you are interested. Vendor spots will be available for $55 for the week and will include electric hook-ups.
