1 2008 Canadian Water Ski Championships and 2008 Canadian Adaptive Championships Hosted by Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario Dates: August 13 to17, 2008 Location: summerski, Keele Street, King Township, Ontario 4 km west of Newmarket, Ontario Tournament Format: 3 event tournament classic format Entry Fees: One Event $ 140 Two Event $ 160 Three Event $ 180 On Site Check in: 9 am to 5 pm EST Tuesday August 11 and Wednesday, August 13, 2008 Practice: Monday August 11 by reservation with summerski at Tuesday August 12 by reservation with summerski at at the discretion of the Chief of Competition Familiarization: Wednesday August 13 by Provincial Teams with schedule available August 6 after registration is completed to determine time allotments. Practice rates will be $250 per hour or $20 per set of 4 slalom/trick passes and 3 jump passes.

2 Registration Eligibility: Seeding: starting May 1, 2008 WSWO will accept registration preferably online via or by mail and fax with payment to Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario up to midnight EST August 3, 2008 full payment must be made with registration. Registration on or after August 4 must be done on site at check-in with an extra $75 service charge as per Appendix III, section 1.5 of the rule book with payment required before practice on August 13 and practice time will be granted at the discretion of the associated provincial team representative. Competitors must hold a WSWC competitive licence, be properly registered, meet qualification standards, and be either a Canadian Citizen or a landed immigrant in Canada (WSWC Rule Book Appendix III, (1) and Appendix VI) at time of registration. All qualifications must be received by WSWC national office by 1pm EST Monday August 11, 2008 (rule Appendix III, 1.2) Registered competitors that fail to meet eligibility requirements prior to the deadline will have their registration fee refunded in full. Please note that the Friday and Saturday nights are the most limited in availability due to wedding bookings. The Kingbridge Centre is the opposite with availability and price better on the weekends. Therefore if availability is a problem you want to consider a combination of one of the lower priced hotels during the week moving to the Kingbridge for the weekend. You may also find last minute bookings will become available in your preferred hotel as the wedding blocks that don t fill up are released.
