Our head coach Jonathan Stevens and I would be happy to meet with you on the 27 h We will have everything ready except our master plan concept from Page Sutherland Page. They will need until about Jan. 6th to have that ready. Jonathan and I could discuss everything else with you, which is quite a bit. We can also show you the general direction for the design of the project that we have discussed with PSP and then follow up with another meeting after Jan 5th to show you the more defined master plan from PSP. Does two meetings work for you, one on December 27th and a follow up meeting to discuss the master plan concept and rendering on either Jan. 6th, 9th or lath? Or, would you prefer to have one meeting in January? l:ftit1 From: Dyer, Paul [mailto: paul.dyer@dallascityhall.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 2, 2114:8 PM To: Belinda McDonnell c: Brescia, arolyn: Subject: RE: New Bothousé for White RóEk Lake Belinda, I understand you may have some upcoming surgery. For the Public Meeting we are planning a presentation that is very similar to the Parks Board Planning ommittee meeting presentation that we did. We will have massing studies, site plan etc but not much detail for the architectural design. However, we have developed the architectural concept for our own purposes and to use for our capital campaign. We will be releasing concept images to our capital campaign group next week. Would you like to review the concept images before we go any further? I could meet with you next week if you would like to review them. On another note, we are planning our annual "ruise the Lake" event. This is our annual recruiting event where we invite middle school and high school aged kids to come see what it's like to go out on the water with our team. We have reserved the old Snipe lub area thru the Dallas Parks reservation system for Saturday, April 28th We are looking into purchasing a modular launch deck that we could use for the ruise the Lake event. We are planning on using the same modular deck for our temporary site as well. Do we need permission from any group to temporarily install the launch deck for our cruise the lake event? The deck will be about 6' long and 8' wide. We will run it parallel to the shore. We would most likely install it on a Friday and then begin disassembling it about 4pm on the 28th We would most likely hire a security guard to watch it overnight Friday night. I'm not sure who to talk to about any permits that we would need. Please let me know if you do. Would this fall under Dallas Water tilities? I don't want to go to the trouble of purchasing and installing this only to have some entity shut down our event on the 28 th. Regards, Belinda McDonnell Vice President Dallas nited rew 3NN6==vb

From: Belinda McDonnell Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 212 5:38 PM To: 'Dyer, Paul'; 'Gerald Worrall, III' Subject: Presentation from Public Meeting Paul and Gerry, I've attached a copy of our presentation from last night. I think it's self explanatory with just a few additional things to note. Our architect pointed out that the butterfly roof was incorporated into the design so that it would mitigate glare when viewed from the west during sunset. Slide 23 shows a comparison of our site to the orinthian Sailing lub and White Rock Boat lub. All of the structures are highlighted in this slide. Slide 24 shows our boathouse without the highlighting and is a good representation of how our building is designed to largely blend into the Big Thicket area when viewed from across the lake. All of the signage, lighting and pathways will be designed with respect to the standards in place for White Rock Lake. As always, please let me know if you have questions. AN top* Original Message From: Belinda McDonnell [mailto Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 212 5:2 PM To: Dyer, Paul; Gerald Worrall, III Subject: Dallas nited rew Public Meeting Follow up Hello Paul and Gerry, I just want to report in on our public meeting last night. Please relay our thanks to Michael Hellman and Joe Reis from the Parks Department for attending. We had about seventy folks attend the meeting representing a variety of areas and interests around the lake. We had a sign in sheet at the front door and between the people that signed in and those that I recognized we've been able to account for all but about a dozen folks. Out of the seventy attendees, about nineteen of them were from our organization including our 4 coaches. So, the majority of the people in attendance last night were from outside our group. Most of the questions asked were from the ommodores of the orinthian lub and the White Rock Boat lub. We reached out and met with their representatives from the Task Force last week and received good feedback from both sailing groups beforehand. I think most of their concerns are logistical and can easily be addressed by openly working and communicating with them as we progress. We have reached out to both organizations and offered to meet with them at any time. In closing all of the comments from the attendees were very positive with ringing endorsements from people from Lakewood, the Peninsula, Lake Park Estates and the White Rock Boat lub. We are very pleased with the results. We are now looking forward to moving our project towards the next step with the ity. Our legal eagle, Robert Sarfatis is at trial currently and I haven't been able to confirm this with him but I believe we are waiting to hear back from the ity Attorneys' office regarding finalizing our agreement. If you could help us move that forward I would appreciate it. I believe when we discussed all the steps of this process with you last Fall, that the next step was to go to back to the Park Board and ask for their approval of the project, then on to the ity ouncil. an you please verify this and help us address the next steps? I will also forward a PDF of the presentation we made last night so that you will know what was presented. I am happy to discuss it in more detail if you wish.
