Konrad is the Municipal Marketing Coordinator for Republic Services ph(208) I asked him about my issues on the attached file. He first said that the developers proposal should have been sent to Public Works and that Public Works would have reviewed how trash would have been picked up. I told him I didn t know if Public Works had been involved. In order of my questions: He confirmed that Republic would be the service to provide the trash collection. He said it was up to the owners but probably two dumpsters would be required, one for trash and one for recycle. Republic calls for a 12 foot by 12 foot pad/enclosure for the two dumpsters. (I m assuming this would be where the current plans show 4 5 x 7 storage sheds.) Regarding clearances: they need 24 foot overhead, 10 feet plus 40 feet for the dumpster and the truck respectively for dumping and 13 feet width for truck. They would only use a truck with a front loader in our area. They use a truck with a back/tail loader down town Boise. They would have to make a 90 degree turn to get into the driveway (with cars parked on both sides of Clear Creek (and next to the driveway). Drive down to the end of the driveway where the dumpsters would be replacing the storage sheds and then back out onto Clear Creek Drive. Just one problem : Republic Service won t back out of a parking lot into traffic! Bingo Dick <Republic.odt> 2

Nampa Meridian Irrigation Superintendent told me he would provide me a letter confirming the initial letter supplied by Camtod was a generic form letter and by no means an approval, as they haven t seen plans as of yet. He also said he would include a confirmation of the location of the actual Irrigation ditch and the drainage ditch and the required 10ft easements. He also pointed out Camtod can not reroute or install any kind of drainage to the front of the property or along Clear Creek because the drainage water can t go into the sewer. The generic form letter points out that no ditch, pipe, or structure for delivery of irrigation water or for carrying irrigation wastewater shall be obstructed, rerouted, covered, or changed in any way. Contacted ACHD on 2/24/17 to request Traffic Calming. Not sure what is will actually do for our situation, but the Commission had recommended it at the meeting so I wanted to make sure I followed thru on it. 2. Dick Wright contacted the Garbage Collection Service and got some good information (that is in our favor) I will forward his findings to you shortly. 3. I met the Nampa Meridian Irrigation Superintendent today at the site. He confirmed that Camtod has inaccurately mapped the irrigation ditch on the property. The ditch that runs along the back side of the lot is 1

14 actually the drainage ditch. The irrigation ditch is actually located a few feet behind the existing home, alongside the property line with Jon Curd s property. Camtod marked on their map that it was an empty vault and was unaccessable. He also confirmed that the letter submitted by Camtod is just a form letter to everyone who has applied for a permit. He stated letter was by no means an approval letter. The letter just explains that the ditch can not be moved of altered, etc. He also confirmed that there must be a 10 ft easement so the irrigation can be maintained. He also pointed out that the Developer can not build a structure over or on top of the ditch. 4. I contacted Mindy Wallace of ACHD and she returned my call today. She explained that you had already contacted her in December to request a traffic count. She said they plan to do the new traffic sometime within the next 2 weeks. She assured me that if it was completed prior to our appeal deadline she would provide a letter stating that it is planned and provide an estimated date of completion.
