Tickets on sale thru 1/11, $12 per person. Menu: Garden salad, stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, rolls, coffee and tea and endless dessert bar. Takeout orders 5:30 at the back door of the kitchen. Delivery if needed. Hawthorne Softball Club is sponsoring this event! Fine Arts Brunch: 1/20, 10:00 AM in the Auditorium. Tickets $8.00 and on sale 1/2 through 1/12. Tickets include brunch and card bingo. Menu: Quiche, fresh fruit, coffee cake, muffins, cranberry and orange juice, ice tea, water and coffee. All yummy! SUNDAY Saturday Night Dance: 12/31, NEW YEAR S GALA 9:00 pm until 12:30 AM in the Hall with music by Soft Touch. NY Club: Pizza party January 7 th 2018 at 5:00 PM in the Hall. New Year s Day Residential Collection Service: Since Monday, January 1 st is a holiday, trash pickup will be delayed by one (1) day for the rest of the week. In other words, Monday s trash removal will be done Tuesday, etc. Library Hours: Monday thru Friday 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday and Friday evening 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, Sunday 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. NOTICE: Hawthorne is going to the Circus! All residents and their guests are welcome to join the Solos Club on a bus trip to see the winter show at the Circus Arts Conservatory, Sarasota Fl. On Wednesday, February Cost is $69 plus your lunch at the world famous Yoder s Amish Restaurant. The bus fare, tip to the driver and show tickets are included in the $69. Payment is due no later than January 22, 2018 and must be by check and payable to Carol s Trips. Bus leaves flagpole at 9 AM and will return no later than 7 PM. Space is limited sign up at the information center. Payments can be dropped off at my home 105 Aspen Circle. Call Aurora Lane A Special Message from your Board of Directors The parking lot known as the North Lot, located nearest the shuffleboard courts, will be limited to handicap parking only on a first come, first basis, during special events at Hawthorne. Such events include but are not limited to Shuffleboard Tournaments, Orchestra Performance, Choral Performances, Entertainments Series, and Concert Series. In order to use to use the North Lot such special events, you must have either a handicapped license plate or a handicapped placard hanging from your rearview mirror. Please understand that the parking volunteers are carrying out the rules and treat them with respect. A Message from the General Manager Boat gas is available at the Marina Tuesday at 9:00 AM and Fridays at 1:00 PM by appointment. Please sign up by calling If no one signs up for gas, the gas truck will not be sent to the Marina. Gas sold at the Marina is ethanol free and it is more expensive than normal gas station blends.
