1 Friday Benbow and Fisher Benbow and Fisher 12:31:16 41 to 46 At 12:31:16 Camera Control identified a suspicious male entering Fisher Alley towards Fisher Siding and ECID Security was informed. Camera Control monitored the suspect jumping over Fire Care perimeter wall and removing metal items from the premises. He took the items and proceeded back towards Fisher Alley. ECID Security responded and caught the suspect in possession of the stolen items. Pineland SAPS were contacted and on arrival they took the suspect to the Police Station for further investigation, accompanied by ECID Security. It was later confirmed that the suspect was arrested, case number 03/01/2016. ECID Security tried to stop him and he told them that his brother, Bongani Maqhekeza, was working at Woodstock Police station. Camera Control contacted his brother who arrived with Constable Dyani driving a bakkie Reg.No. BSV 186 B and took the male home.

Nourse Jumbo 09:45:10 Medical Services Bald 41 to m to 1.66 m At 09:45:10 ECID Security notified Camera Control about a badly injured male opposite Moorson Avenue and confirmed that he had been beaten by security officers after stealing a phone from a female. Control contacted Fire and Rescue and Metro Ambulance and he was transported to Tygerberg hospital. Paramedic on the scene was Mr Geiger driving vehicle Reg.No. GCN 739 G and Fire and Rescue Officer, Mr Nagel driving vehicle Reg.No. CCT Saturday SA. Metal SA Metal 22:49:37 Tresspasing At 22:49:37 Camera Control noticed two suspicious males loitering next to Reclam and dispatched ECID Security to investigate. On arrival it was confirmed that the on-site security had apprehended the two suspects inside the premises and Elsies SAPS were contacted. Constable Mayezana responded together with his colleague driving vehicle Reg.No. BSV 061 B. The suspects were given a warning by the Police and released as no one opened a case against them and they were not carrying anything illegal.
3 Monday Langa Rheem SA 05:32:51 Suspicious Activity African At 05:32:51 Camera Control noticed a suspicious African male loitering on the field next to the rails at Langa Station and close to K9 and dispatched ECID Security Deltas investigate. They apprehended the suspect inside Langa Station. ECID Security confirmed that the suspect was carrying a heavy black plastic bag containing a stolen sealed 9KG Afrox Handigas Cylinder. The suspect claimed that he is a nightshift security officer at Afrox working for SPE Security Company and ECID Security took him to Afrox to confirm. Camera Control notified Pinelands SAPS and Constables Mentoor and Mhlawuli responded driving police Reg.No. BPS 755B. The suspect was arrested and case number 46\01\2016 was opened. Monday Informal Market Informal Market 14:01:45 Monitored At 14:01:45 ECID Security notified Camera Control about a female who was trying to commit suicide by hanging herself on a tree behind the Informal Market. Camera Control contacted SAPS, Fire and Rescue and an Ambulance. Constable Kolbe from Pinelands SAPS driving van Reg.No. BTL799B and Ambulance Reg.No. GBY973G arrived on the scene. The female s name was Bram and she stated that she was distressed due to stress and that she had also lost her baby. She was not injured and refused to go to hospital.
4 Wednesday Nampak Corrugated Nampak Corrugated 10:16:18 At 10:16:18 Camera Control noticed two suspicious males coming from Kalksteenfontein towards Hewett Avenue. One of them had something that looked like a firearm on his hip and Camera Control informed ECID Security who responded and followed the suspects until they entered Snyder s. ECID Security remained on scene until Elsies River SAPS arrived, apprehended the suspects and transported them to Elsies River Police Station for further investigation. Security Impact: LOW MED X HIGH Thursday Lithotec Lithotec 13:51:39 Suspicious Activity 1.61 m to 1.66 m At 13:51:39 Camera Control noticed a group of people on top of Lithotec Bridge looking down towards Johnson Cranes and taking photos. ECID Security was dispatched to investigate and on arrival discovered that a suspect who had robbed a female was being beaten by community members at Johnson Cranes siding. Camera Control contacted Elsies River SAPS who never arrived on scene whereby ECID Security took the suspect to Elsies Police Station. The victim, Mali Obrien, of No. 33 Artimis Street, Woodland, Mitchell s Plain, chose not to lay charges against the suspect who was then taken to Vanguard Hospital. Security Impact: LOW MED X HIGH
5 Thursday SA. Metal SA Metal 21:54: m to 1.66 m Beanie At 21:54:17 ECID Security notified Camera Control that they apprehended two coloured males who were caught jumping out of the Reclam premises. The suspects were being chased by Reclam Security Officers and ECID Security had caught the suspects outside the premises. Camera Control contact Mr Zaas from Anmar Guarding however he declined to open a case against the suspects and ECID Security were instructed to release the suspects as they also were not carrying anything illegal on them. Security Impact: LOW x MED HIGH Saturday Gundle Gundle 02:02:12 Cap Beanie At 02:02:12 Camera Control noticed two suspicious males walking past Gundle towards Reclam and after losing sight of them around the SA Metal camera, Camera Control dispatched ECID Security to investigate. ECID Security searched the premises at Reclam and caught five suspects in possession of copper inside Reclam. Elsies River SAPS were contacted but did not arrive and ECID Security and the area manager of Apcon Security transported the suspects to the police station. Two security officers who were on nightshift and the dayshift officers who had worked the previous day were also arrested as they had been bribed by the suspects with R250 each, for allowing them onto the premises.
