2 DETAIL MAP OF QUEENSTOWN, MD FROM STATE PARK CAUTION: This segment of the route across Maryland s eastern shore is not recommended for inexperienced cyclists because it requires three very dangerous crossings of dual-lane highways (US 301 and 50) that are not controlled by traffic lights. In fact, on summer weekends, the traffic on these roads between the Baltimore & Washington areas and the Atlantic resort beaches is so heavy that a non-vehicular crossing would probably be almost impossible. This is Kent Island s biggest shopping center, with a Safeway supermarket, a pharmacy, and every fast-food franchise STEVENSVILLE, MD -- Kent Island Express ( ) is the contractor for shuttling cyclists across the Bay Bridge. Call them the day before, or at least a couple of hours ahead, to let them know your expected arrival time at the eastern end of the bridge, and to confirm your meeting point. The fee is $30 for up to two people and bikes. The shuttle will drop you off at Sandy Point State Park [no camping] at the western end of the bridge. kentislandexpress@gmail.com.
