An automated train system called the HX Sky Train connecting METRO light rail to the airport began construction in hase one of the Sky Train is scheduled for completion in In the interim, passengers can transfer from this light rail station to a shuttle bus, which connects light rail passengers to the economy parking lots, all terminals of the airport and the consolidated rental car facility. Station hoenix Sky Harbor International Airport; is one of the busiest airports in the United States with more than 1,500 aircraft arriving and departing carrying more than 700 tons of cargo and over 100,000 visitors on a daily basis.
