4 59 60 August 15-18, 2017 NMML Annual conference COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT Tuesday, August 15 10:00 am 3:00 pm Matt 25 Hope Center is e radical transformation of a community eyesore into a regional center of hope. The old Memorial Hospital building at 12 and Thornton Streets had closed in In 2001, Tony Evans (nationally known radio speaker, auor and pastor) challenged community leaders to use e abandoned building as a Christian resource center for e community. Today, Matt 25 Hope Center is a one stop community resource center wi a cross-cultural, multi-denominational, community-based center to pool resources, experiences, and energies to help GOLF OUTING Tuesday, August 15 11:00 am Join us on e Golf OUTING (not a tournament) at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 15 at e Colonial Park Golf Course, 1300 Colonial Pkwy. You can play wi whomever you want, and names will be drawn for prizes. Make sure to indicate your participation, average score, AND who you want to play wi on e Golf registration form included on page 13 in is brochure. Your Golf Outing registration includes lunch at 11:00 am. Participants must be registered for e conference and will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. No outside alcohol or coolers are allowed. Register early to secure your spot! 4 people and families in need. It serves as host to 14 local nonprofit agencies. The actual tasks involved wi our volunteer project will be determined as we get closer to e event and volunteers who signed up will be informed accordingly. Ongoing projects include renovation of e old hospital, work in community garden and at e Bread of Life distribution center. Volunteers will meet Randy Van Vleck at 10 am on Tuesday, August 15 in e parking lot of e Clovis Civic Center and car pool from ere. Lunch will be included. Use e registration form on page 13 to sign up for is event. The 18-hole Regulation course at e Colonial Park Golf Course facility features 6,856 yards of golf from e longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.2 and it has a slope rating of 111 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Warren D. Cantrell, e Regulation golf course opened in Charlie Maciel manages e course as e Director of Golf.
