2 MOTORTECH GmbH: J AGRITECHNICA AGRITECHNICA, the International DLG Exhibition for Agricultural Machinery, based firmly in Frankfurt am Main, was held for the first time in The venue was then moved to the world s largest exhibition grounds in Hanover in the year The new location offered better conditions for presenting large-scale, modern agricultural machinery. AGRITECHNICA and the original touring exhibitions have always been the central location for innovations. DLG has been presenting awards for innovations already since the 1960s and these have developed to become a magnetic draw for visitors from Germany and other countries. Today AGRITECHNICA is the world s leading exhibition for agricultural machinery. It is organised every two years by the DLG e.v. 5 MOTORTECH GmbH: J Approach Approach by car You can reach the Exhibition Grounds directly via motorway A and A7 and then A7 and the exhibition expressway. Using navigation systems: If your navigation system does not accept Exhibition Grounds or Messegelände, please enter Kronsbergstrasse as destination if you are travelling from the south, and Hermesallee if you are travelling from the north. You can also enter: Messe under special destinations. Approach by plane You can reach Hanover by air using domestic or international scheduled or charter flights. 6 MOTORTECH GmbH: J Approach Approach by rail Hannover Central Station If you are travelling from Hanover Central Station, you can reach the Exhibition Grounds with the urban railway Line 8 and 18 in 0 minutes. At the Central Station follow the blue signs with the letter U. Exhibition station Selected regional and long-distance trains will also include an extra stop directly at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover/Messe Laatzen. Travel times will be published on the rail website as of September 01. The Skywalk, a passenger bridge with moving walkway, takes you quickly and easily from the exhibition station Laatzen to Entrance West 1. Our tip: It can be used on all local trains (IRE, RE, RB, SE and S-Bahn) and the transport systems in Niedersachsen and Bremen - also the GVH - (valid for nd class compartments.) It can also be used for selected other sections. It is for up to 5 persons travelling together or for parents (or one parent) travelling with any number of their children under 1. Instead of one person it is possible to take one dog with each card.
