3 Message There are many Orthopedic Conferences being held in India, in contrast COE-20I6 is not a conference, it is a platform where comprehensive knowledge regarding various issues of orthopaedics will be discussed, so that senior orthopaedics surgeons can put forward their knowledge & experience, middle level orthopaedics surgeons can upgrade their knowledge and junior orthopaedic surgeon can learn from case discussion and workshops. The registrants are requested to present their cases so that there will be a case discussion and thus a message can be drawn from each case. Beside, there will be an Eminent Surgeon award to Dr. Hardas Sandhu & prestigious oration in memory of Dr. B. Mukopadhyay will be delivered by Dr. V. T. Ingalhalikar. We don't believe in crowd, thus limited seat are there for delegates so that there will be one on one interaction between delegate and the faculty. 6 History of Indore Indore is the largest city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It serves as the headquarters of both Indore District and Indore Division. Indore was described by the Economic Times as the commercial capital of the state. It is also considered as an education hub of the state and houses campuses of both, Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Management. Located on the southern edge of Malwa Plateau, the city is located 190 km west of the state capital of Bhopal. With a census-estimated 2011 population of 1,994,397 (municipal corporation) and 2,170,295 (urban agglomeration),indore Metropolitan Area's population is the state's largest. History is equally fascinating, The present city is about 500 years old. Till the end of 15th century, its original nucleus was a river side village which occupied the bank of river Saraswati. This area is now known as Juni Indore Indore traces its roots to its 16th century founding as a trading hub between the Deccan and Delhi. The city and its surroundings came under Maratha Empire on 18 May 1724 after Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I assumed the full control of Malwa (Holkar Era). During the days of the British Raj, Indore State was a 19 Gun Salute (21 locally) princely state (a rare high rank) ruled by the Maratha Holkar dynasty, until they acceded to the Union of India. Indore served as the capital of the Madhya Bharat from 1950 until 1956.
