6 MOU SIGNED BETWEEN NBCC & IGBC Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC (India) Ltd. and Dr. Prem C. Jain, Chairman, CII- IGBC signed MoU on 20th September 2016 at NBCC Corporate Office, New Delhi for Promoting Green Buildings, Capacity Building and Development of Green Building Resources. 7 EXHIBITION UNDER THE THEME SANITATION AND SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT WAS ORGANIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND MINISTRY OF DRINKING WATER & SANITATION To mark the occasion of special drive week under Swacch Bharat Mission, an exhibition under the theme Sanitation and Solid Waste Management was organized by the Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation on at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Hon ble Minister of Urban Development, Shri M. Venkiah Naidu and Minister of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Shri Ramesh Jigajinagi inaugurated the exhibition. NBCC Officials visited the exhibition and witnessed different initiatives towards the Swacch Bharat Mission in various sectors which included displays such as decentralized waste water system; electronic public toilet; home composting etc. The exhibit demonstrated useful products for zero waste and waste to energy solutions. 7

8 INAUGURATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK, TYPE-II STAFF QUARTERS & EPIDEMIOLOGY AND DISEASE CONTROL COMPLEX (DRY LAB) FOR NATIONAL CENTRE FOR DISEASE CONTROL (NCDC) Shri J P Nadda, Hon ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated NBCC constructed Administrative Block, Type-II Staff Quarters & Epidemiology and Disease Control Complex (Dry Lab) for National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at 22 Sham Nath Marg, Delhi on Senior Officers of NBCC and NCDC were also present on the occasion. The Hon ble Minister, also put his remarks on the Visitors Book appreciating the work. 8

9 CMD INSPECTS VARANASI PROJECT Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC, paid visit to Trade Facilitation Center and Craft Museum project site at Varanasi on to inspect the progress of work. The Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India has entrusted this work to NBCC to conceive, implement and promote it as a Centre of Excellence. Once in place, the Centre shall support the cause of entire Handloom sector in the country. CMD, during his visit, was also accompanied by Shri D D S Srivastava, CGM (Noida), NBCC and Shri Pawan Kumar, GM (PMG),NBCC, as seen in the pictures. 9

10 One day workshop on Sustainable and Efficient Structures in Smart Cities was organized by IIT Roorkee-NBCC Research and Development Centre One day workshop on Sustainable and Efficient Structures in Smart Cities was organized by IIT Roorkee- NBCC Research and Development Centre at Greater Noida Extension Centre of IIT Roorkee on 17th September The inaugural Session of the workshop was addressed by Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD NBCC and Prof. Pradipta Banerji, Director, IIT Roorkee. Dr. Prem C. Jain, Chairman, CII-IGBC was the Guest of Honour. The key areas of discussion in the workshop were sustainability in Construction, Smart Building Systems, building efficiency etc. The speakers at the workshop were senior executives from the construction Industry and academicians. The participants/ delegates in the workshop were from NBCC (India) Ltd., Academicians and practitioners from the construction industry. 10
