The following activities have been organized in the Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management during -13: 1. Research Activities: Two Day Workshop ' Application of e - techniques & tools in Research' April M.D University Rohtak Release of Book of ' Food of Haryana - The Great Chutneys Authored by Dr. Ashish Dahiya was released by Hon'ble Chief Minister- Haryana, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda along with Padamvibhushan Pt. Jasraj, Prof. R.P Hooda- Vice Chancellor - MDU, Prof. Daleep Singh - Director IHTM & Dean Colleges MDU and other dignitaries. Faculty Development Programme : Learning to do Academic Research in Hospitality & Tourism Management April IHTM MD University Rohtak 30 Participants from different parts of Country including Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Himachal, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and others participated in the programme. IHTM for the first time in India organised such FDP in Hospitality & Tourism Mgmt. To relish & tranquil the hot sunny summers of North India, with the King of Fruits and to welcome the upcoming monsoons, IHTM organised One Day Mango Food Festival at, MDU Rohtak on 09th June at PM. The Research based session on Mangoes was taken by experts. IHTM organised Tea Festival from August 13-18, offering 25 Different varieties of Tea along with Presentations based on Research on Tea & Service Styles Prominent one included Green Tea with Ginger, Mint & Lemon Tea, Green Tea, Lemon Flavor Tea, Earl Gray Green Tea, Summer Flash Tea, Origin Assam Tea, English Breakfast Tea, Green Tea & Mint, Green Ice Tea (Peach), Masala Tea Natural Flavours, Jasmine Green Tea, Black Tea, Ginger Flavor Tea, Elachi Natural Flavor Tea, Flannel Tea, Cinnamon Tea, Herbal Tea. The event was created with a three-fold purpose: to support & promote the tea & hospitality industry, to create awareness about Tea and to provide first hand information about tea tasting to Hotel Management Students of IHTM MD University. Other Activities: IHTM MDU Features in premier Institutes of Hotel & Tourism Management in India (Source: Haribhoomi June 06, ) Dr. Ashish Dahiya Associate Professor IHTM Felicitated by Hindustan Times on the Occasion of Teachers Day IHTM organised one day workshop on Bread Making on August 18,. Ten Different Types of Bread Making was taught to learners by Expert Chef Sunil from Gwalior. The breads were prepared with authenticated recipes and proved to be delicacies.
