8 Lesson #6: Pre-Solo Knowledge Test Review Student should be able to answer all of the questions on the Pre-Solo Knowledge Test from memory without looking at notes Lesson #7: Stage Check and First Solo Ground Briefing: Student should brief instructor on current weather conditions, TAF, active runway in use, and any relevant NOTAMs Flight Objectives: Student should conduct a flight in the traffic pattern with the instructor observing. If the instructor needs to intervene or take the flight controls for any reason, the student is not ready for solo. Repeat as needed until student completes first solo flight in the traffic pattern.
