Paddle through the salt marsh and tidal creeks as you encounter wildlife up close and personal. Observe coastal birds, dolphins, and sea turtles in their natural habitat. Full 24-hour supervision is provided for all campers. Background checks are performed on all staff and camp training includes CPR, First Aid and Non-Violent Conflict Resolution. Each cabin has a minimum of two counselors All activity groups are co-ed and have male, female and activity specialists present at all times. Staff to camper ratio is 1:8. Throughout the week, campers will enjoy all these fun-filled activities. Archery Arts Crafts Climbing Wall Canoeing Horseback Riding Swimming Environmental Studies Land/Water Sports Award Ceremonies Hiking Campfires Dances Talent Show The older groups participate in teambuilding and high ropes elements as well. Two advanced groups, Adventurers (ages and Trekkers (ages 13-14, enjoy adventure based programming both on and off camp. Although they do not participate in traditional camp activities, the Adventurers learn outdoor living skills, High Ropes, Orienteering and camp two nights at an outpost site on camp property. They will also learn about Global Positioning Systems (GPS and Geo-caching. The Trekkers participate in high adventure camp activities, then travel off-site for a canoeing and rock climbing adventure. Enrollment is limited in both groups and is filled on a first come first served basis. These fees include transportation for your child to and from camp, three meals per day, snacks, beverages, plenty of bottled water, a t-shirt, and a $15 camp store credit allowance.
