1 WOODLAND PARK ZOO VENUE GUIDE RAIN FOREST PAVILION The Rain Forest Pavilion is located just off the West Entrance of the zoo and is surrounded by a large wrap-around patio adorned by lush greenery and flora. This large, atrium-type building is filled with natural light and can accommodate up to 250 guests seated and 400 guests standing. The Rain Forest Food Pavilion is the perfect setting for receptions, award banquets, auctions and corporate functions and is available for evening events. ZOOMAZIUM Zoomazium is the zoo s nature-themed indoor play space designed especially for younger children, but it s available for rental no matter what your age! Zoomazium is the zoo s first LEED certified green building. It can accommodate up to 125 for a reception-style event or 60 for a seated dinner. It is available for evening events and is perfect for holiday parties and cocktail receptions.

2 MEETING FACILITIES Woodland Park Zoo can accommodate small and mid-size meetings for your organization. Utilizing rooms in both the Education Center and ARC building, we can arrange these rooms in various configurations to meet your specific needs. Our Auditorium, located near the South Entrance in the Education Center, can seat 214. It is ideal for lectures, presentations and performances. Audio and visual equipment not included. NORTHERN TRAIL Enchant your guests by taking them to three rugged regions of the far north: the weather-stunted forests of the taiga, the treeless plains of the tundra and the high crags of the montane. Our award-winning Northern Trail exhibit is the perfect setting for your small to mid-size event. If you are planning a midsize event, the entire Northern Trail between the Taiga Viewing Shelter and Tundra Center is available for your guests to enjoy this natural Northwest setting. It can accommodate up to a 200-person reception-style event, perfect for a cocktail reception to WOW your clients! Tundra Center The Tundra Center can be your very own extraordinarily wild retreat center or meeting room. A breathtaking 10-foot curving mural immerses visitors in the arctic tundra and can seat up to 45 people comfortably or accommodate 70 for standing receptions. The Tundra Center is available for both daytime and evening events, and can also accommodate luncheons and small dinner and holiday parties. Taiga Viewing Shelter The Taiga Viewing Shelter is located in the heart of the Northern Trail and overlooks the brown bear and North American river otter naturalistic exhibits. This oblong building can play host to an array of events for your group such as private dinner parties, cocktail receptions or holiday parties. 3 OUTDOOR VENUES Jaguar Cove Transport your guests to the lush, tropical rain forests of Central and South America the natural habitat of jaguars. Jaguar Cove will add tropical ambiance to a Seattle cocktail party or reception. If you are looking for a sit-down dinner for up to 60 guests or a standing reception for 120, this extraordinary venue will surely make your event impressionable. The Jaguar Cove is available for evening events. African Village Turn your next event into a lively experience at the African Village. Your guests will be drawn into the rural village life of East Africa where they encounter a Traditional Kikuyu House, Nyika Primary School, Banda Hut, and an array of different authentic objects and more. Overlooking the award-winning African Savanna, the African Village is located near the South Entrance and can accommodate up to 500 guests within the village and South Entrance Plaza. If you are looking for a more intimate affair the African Village can seat up to 100 for a private dinner party, reception or cocktail hour. The African Village is available for evening events. Humboldt Penguin Exhibit Party along the rocky coastline of Peru! Our Humboldt penguin exhibit is an exciting outdoor venue that features our stunning re-creation of the unique part of the world that these endangered penguins call home. Watch their playful antics are you enjoy your scrumptious catered event. Thai Village Have your guests travel through the jungle to the Thai Village (Mubahn Thai) nestled in Woodland Park Zoo s Tropical Asia biome. This unique venue was inspired by mid-19th century residential architecture, still found in parts of northern Thailand. If you are looking for a site to entertain 500 of your top clients or employees, the Thai Village, without a doubt, is a magical venue. The Thai Village is available for evening events.

4 North Meadow The North Meadow is a wonderful location to hold mid-size to large outdoor or tented events. This expansive lawn and berm, located just off the North Entrance, can easily accommodate up to 5,000 guests to picnic and participate in activities. The North Meadow is available for your use for day and late afternoon events. Beech Grove Surrounded by old-growth beech trees, laurels and a lush lawn, the Beech Grove is a secluded venue located just off of the South Entrance. It is a beautiful setting for picnics, dinners, receptions and banquets. The Beech Grove can stage events during the day and early evening. Picnic Shelter The Picnic Shelter offers a private wooded area for your guests to socialize. Located near the North Entrance, the Picnic Shelter has a picnic structure and 10 permanent picnic tables that will seat 100 people comfortably. If your group size is up to 300, the site offers additional space to accommodate extra tables and chairs. The Picnic Shelter is just the right size for company picnics and family reunions. Please ask your Sales and Event Specialist about 1/2 day rental option. Butterfly Forest Located behind the Butterflies & Blooms garden venue, the Butterfly Forest is central to many of Woodland Park Zoo s award-winning exhibits. Surrounded by green lawns and trees, the Butterfly Forest is the perfect shaded location for company picnics and reunions and can accommodate up to 250 guests. The Butterfly Forest is available for daytime events and early evening events. Mesa Bronze Nestled between the Historic Carousel, Northern Trail and the Australasia exhibits, the Mesa Bronze picnic area offers small groups a perfect location for their private event. The area features Ken Little s Mesa Bronze art installation as well as lush foliage and old-growth trees. Picnic style seating for up to 50 guests is provided. Mesa Bronze can set the stage for your group to branch off and participate in many of the wild activities that the zoo has to offer.

5 Family Farm The Family Farm is the perfect setting for a country casual celebration while never leaving city. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the nearby barnyard animals including goats, miniature donkeys, chickens and pigs. A quaint fruit orchard makes the perfect backdrop for a picnic, party or corporate dinner. Historic Carousel This special hand-crafted 1918 vintage carousel is sure to be the highlight of any celebration. Kids and adults alike will delight in riding these antique horses. A party room off to the side offers addition seating space and garage doors can be pulled up for an open air one-of-a-kind party of a lifetime.
