5 Private Wildlife Reserves MWIBA WILDLIFE RESERVE 129,530 ACRES Lush with color-infused botanicals, saturated with wildlife and featuring 33 freshwater springs. Mwiba Lodge: Set among massive stone boulders, ancient coral trees and acacias, which overlooks a rocky gorge on the Arugusinyai River. Mwiba Tented Camp: Artfully perched above a collection of 5 natural springs on a ridge of granite kopjes, set among acacia woodlands. WOW factor: There is something to be said about truly immersing yourself in the culture of Tanzania, whether it is walking with the Hadza, visiting the Datoga tribe or learning to dance with the Maasai, it is these experiences that truly enrich a safari. MASWA KIMALI GAME RESERVE - 349,400 ACRES The varied landscape and proximity to the Serengeti National Park make this a premier destination satisfying everyone s sense of adventure. Subeti Tented Camp: Nestled on a scenic ridge high above the surrounding plains of acacia woodland, ideally located in the southern part of the reserve with easy access to other prime wildlife areas. Legendary Serengeti Mobile Camp: Situated in the North of Maswa Kimali Game Reserve during December to April, with convenient access to the Ndutu plains for wildebeest calving season. WOW factor: Easy access to the cultural interaction of Mwiba, at the heart of where the Great Migration brings the wildebeest for calving season, and within reach of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area. MASWA MBONO GAME RESERVE - 166,900 ACRES Transitioning from the infinite expanse of short grass plains to whistling thorn scrub and then classic acacia savannas, each habitat displays its own characteristic beauty. Mbono Tented Camp: Deep in the shade of the acacia forest lining the banks of the Mbono River, where the river leaves the Serengeti National Park & meanders southwest to its confluence with the Simiyu River.
