1 Art2Muse A vibrant art gallery Located in the heart of Double Bay, Art2Muse Gallery attracts locals, designers, national and international art lovers who can also view and purchase artworks online. Established in 2001 by Katrina Hampton, Art2Muse Gallery represents a diverse range of artworks from 45 established artists at an affordable price. The gallery has been operating in Double Bay since 2008 with an exciting program of regular exhibitions and provides ongoing personalised service. In November 2014 Art2Muse Gallery was the first Australian gallery to be invited to participate in the Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair in Turkey. We offer a home consultation service to advise on artworks. An initial visit to your home or office will include photographing the space and discussing your preferences. We will then produce a catalogue of recommended artworks superimposed on your walls as a preview before trying the pieces in your home. The $99 consultation fee is then deducted from your first art purchase. Here is a selection of available artworks by Lara Scolari. Please feel free to contact us for high resolution photographs and catalogues of artworks you are interested in and to discuss your requirements. 2 Lara Scolari Lara Scolari is a contemporary Australian artist who lives and works full time on her art practice within her vibrant and light filled studio located in the heart of Sydney's harbour side village of Balmain. Holding a Masters in Cross Disciplinary Art & Design from the University of New South Wales and with many years of experience working in the Arts and Cultural sector, Lara's practice radiates a wealth of knowledge. An action painter, Lara's work is produced in an Abstract Expressionist style that explores developed experimental techniques and processes. Lara builds up each work using a variety of media creating depth through transparent layers. In Lara's latest series, multi-layered circles create an enlivening space for contemplation, and a resting place for thoughts. Scolari is interested in how energy informs the painting and viewing process. When creating works, she finds herself transforming from a state of active energy into one of serene immersion. Her paintings also provide a space for the viewer to engage with this spectrum of energy: from vitality to calmness. They share the nuances of her thought processes, and create a place to retreat to, to muse and meditate, like being immersed in music. In many works by Lara, translucent blues and greens meet black, grey and milky white in veiled layers. These resonate with the marine glimmers of the Balmain environment in which the artist lives and works. Others focus primarily on layers of texture and colour in some paintings, speckled black circulates in a nest-like whirl. When viewing these circles of energy, we are free to be transported to another state of mind. Prolifically producing strong and considered bodies of work, Lara's coveted artworks are beautiful in organic form, line, shape and composition.
