BRISBANE RIVER The city of Brisbane is based around the iconic Brisbane River. The river was a significant factor for the city being settled in the first place and continues to this day to serve as a centre point for many of the city's activities and attractions. LONE PINE KOALA SANCTUARY Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the first and world s largest Koala sanctuary with over 130 koalas calling the sanctuary home. Queensland is the only state by law in Australia that permits you to cuddle a koala, so you'll be able to come away with a photograph of your encounter with the most famous and furry of Aussie creatures. MORETON ISLAND Moreton Island lies just 25 kilometres away from the city and serves as something of a lovely little resort-escape hub for Brisbane residents. Moreton Island delivers amazing scenery: massive sand dunes, lakes, rocky outcrops and wild forest, beautiful beaches and lonely lighthouses.

2 Accommodation Options Finding comfortable accommodation, in a convenient location with the right people is important and may take time. Factors such as budget, length of stay and whether you want to live alone or with others will influence your decision. Research all available housing options before you arrive for your internship so you can establish a realistic expectation and budget for accommodation (including the cost of utilities) and living expenses. Questions to ask yourself when choosing accommodation: What is my budget? Do I want to live alone? With other travellers? With a family? How far do I want to live from my internship location? Do I want to prepare my own meals? Or have meals prepared for me? How long do you want to commit to? Do I want to buy my own furniture? Australian Internships arranges a variety of accommodation options for different budgets and needs. Our team will help you to find the most suitable option for you! HOMESTAY Homestay is a safe and adorable. Typically, you will have your own bedroom and two or three meals with the family per day. Living or boarding in a home with a local family can be a great way to know more about daily Australian life and improve your English skills. STUDENT RESIDENCE These facilities offer fully-furnished, self-contained apartments with an opportunity to live alone or share with others in a student community. Living with in a small community of students and interns provides a ready made support and social network that will help you during your stay for the internship. Note: Australia is a widespread country and it isn t unusual to travel up to 1 hour to and from work. The placement fee is non refundable. More than 2 weeks before your arrival: you will be charged $100 to cover administration costs. Homestay Placement Fee and Accommodation Fees will be refunded. Less than 2 weeks before your arrival: you will be charged $100 to cover administration costs. Your Accommodation Fee will be refunded but not your Placement Fee. Less than 48 hours before your arrival: you will be charged $100 to cover administration costs and 2 weeks Accommodation Fee (to compensate the Host Family) and the Placement Fee will NOT be refunded. WHAT IF I WANT TO LEAVE MY HOMESTAY? A minimum of 4 weeks stay in Homestay Accommodation is required. If you choose to depart homestay (after the 4 week minimum stay), either you or Australian Internships must give your service provider at least 2 weeks notice to depart, so we can advise the Host Family and the balance can be refunded to your nominated bank account.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY HOMESTAY BEFORE ARRIVAL? More than 2 weeks before your arrival: 100% of the accommodation and placement fee will be refunded. Less than 2 weeks before your arrival: you will be charged 2 weeks Accommodation Fee (to compensate the Host Family). The Placement Fee will not be refunded. WHAT IF I WANT TO LEAVE MY HOMESTAY? A minimum of 4 weeks stay in Homestay Accommodation is required. Guests staying over for one night must be approved by management in advance. Key Deposit Fee of $50 is to be paid and will be refunded at end of stay when key is returned. The bathrooms and living areas are cleaned twice per week. There is wireless broadband available with no set up cost, but on a user pays basis. Fax, printer and photocopier are available for your use free of charge. Wireless Internet Hotspot is available on site.
