Thorngumbald falls within a Flood Zone 3a (High Risk) and therefore any new development should not be considered in accordance with Policy ENV6. Members also believe that this would be overdevelopment on what is a small piece of land, the proposed development intends to use the existing main drains and there is already proven evidence that the existing properties experience difficulty with drainage problems, any new development would increase the problem. Members agreed to wait until further information received following further public consultations in Sept/Oct before making further comments Emergency Plan Amendments 2016 amendments. Update of neighbouring Parish Councils information. Amendments accepted Pelican Crossing Main Road. Continuing problems of vehicles overtaking the bus at crossing outside Thornbirds Cafe. Continue to liaise with ERYC to see if anything can be done. 172 Request from Football Club Request to see if viable to have electricity installed in changing rooms. Also expressed concern over speeding traffic on Hooks Lane and resident informed that a recent speed traffic survey resulted in the decision that there was not sufficient to put any traffic calming measures in place. Also noted that the 30mph sign was not very visible. Clerk will contact ERYC Clerk informed meeting that Tony Cook Ltd. have agreed to cover the remaining part of the changing rooms at no extra cost August Crime Stats. M Wilson, Richardson, Hardy, Robinson and Clerk to attend Employees Pension Scheme RESOLVED following advice from Personnel Committee Football club have asked for the old bus shelters they will turn these into dug-outs for match days. Clerk has contacted the owners who will board up the downstairs windows until work is due to commence. 2nd Round of Yorkshire Energy Park Consultation members expressed their concerns over whether it would extend further towards Hedon. Cllr Sue Steel told members that Ward Councillors had also expressed their concerns. The proposed roundabout will no doubt cause traffic problems. Members will wait for the planning application to arrive. Clerk told members that Paul Smith, landlord of Royal Mail, had rang to thank everyone for their support and confirmed that he had received the license for The New Royal Mail. Clerk told members that the Saltend Drop-in Centre will close on 28th October but they can still be contacted on customer helpline number It was RESOLVED that the phone box at Ryehill be purchased from BT at a cost of 1 following the proposed removal of a number of phone boxes through East Riding. A letter from a resident of Camerton asking members to support his request to ERYC to look at speeding traffic. Katie Storey from ERYC has confirmed that a traffic survey will be done and the results sent to the clerk when complete. It was RESOLVED that an Asbestos Management Survey be done at the Village Hall. Cllr M Wilson suggested that the Parish Council look at organising a Harvest Festival evening at the Village Hall in It was also suggested they look at a Xmas Fayre but to liaise with Pre-School. She confirmed that following the 7 day speed survey on Main Road, Camerton it was awarded 29 Points which is considered high and as such she will inform Humberside Police and ask that the A1033 Camerton be added to their enforcement schedule. No further engineering measures to reduce speed will be done as this is an A road and Camerton has a good road safety record. Members were told that an Asbestos Register for the Village Hall is now in place. ERYC Planning enforcement informed that High Bridge, Ryehill is no longer occupied and the owner only visits the premises to feed his animals. October crime figure received these will be in the next Parish Journal. 23 Nov To Resolve: It was RESOLVED that Trustees of Ryehill meeting will now take place at 7.00pm for 30mins. This will be followed by the Parish Council meeting 7.30pm prompt. Concerns from residents over Anti-Social behaviour on Thornfields Police aware. Clerk told members that the 2017/18 Precept needs to be set in January and if they knew of anything that needed to be added to the Budget to inform her.
